If you notice your post count diminishing, it is because we are clearing out some of the older threads that serve no purpose on the forum. This site is huge, and even harder to maintain the bigger it gets. We are clearing out as much of the nonsense such as expired DL threads, Happy Birthday Threads... etc.

Seriously: good idea. Actually, I was thinking of doing a thread to suggest also to erase inactive accounts from this site, like people that haven't posted in 8, 10 months or a year should be erased.

Interesting, so the post count you have is not a seperate holding field in the database, its counts the number of rows associated with your db id for both posts and threads created?

I always assumed that query would be hard on the database instead of just a holding field. The bigger the table, the harder it is on the query with this method.

Is this VB default? or did you change the source. Maybe you dont know six but im oober curious

I have ALOT of posts. Mostly the ones I want deleted are the drug riddled ones from about 2 -3 years ago. It annoys me to browse through them.

hrmm, i played around with php for a bit and i realized theres ways that you can hold the thread and post count in a db field. and still have it drop by X when you delete threads and posts. I figured there was no way vb source used mysql_num_rows();
