well for starts

As long as you are a member of either or both communities and have a minimum of 30 posts (Neophyte users are not eligible), you are eligible to submit your picture for inclusion into this year's album!

Then you have to actually submit photos to the thread that gets stickied at the top of General chat, for a chance to be put in. And then you have to follow the guides for the photos to be accepted, which most people follow fine.

But its simple, if people don't post there pic in the Family Album threads, then they don't get put into the album.

It has nothing to do with popularity, but post count does have to be a certain amount, see above.

I think the post count rule also limited it from being like 40 pages.

In the thread where you submit your pictures, tonnes of people with 1-10 posts put their pictures in the thread

Just a thought - would it be cute to have next year's album photos link to the the individual profiles? Or would that be outrageous? I can only imagine how much work it is to put that together as it is.

Well putting it together is pretty easy, the longest part is putting the photos in the frames and writing the names on in photoshop. But then once uploaded they are sorted out in order, which I guess is done by a script Filicide wrote.

I don't know if there is a way to put a link in on each image to link to their profiles because this script sorts them in order, I am not actually scripting in each image. Maybe Filicide will know more on that.
