Actually, the combination of airfare and hotel accomodations are probably cheaper in Vegas than anywhere else in the continental US. If you are serious about making this trip, look for some package deals containing room and travel, I think you'd be surprised how economical some can be.

I am going to Disney World/Wrestlemania at the end of March so I should be saving for that...but this is a once in a life time show! More comes into play when we travel. We have animals that need to be looked after. They were'nt properly cared for when we went to Texas, so traveling becomes an issue. Who knows what will happen between now and the show. But yeah, I'd love to go to this show. Between work and the animals, I don't see how it could work :(

Sorry, though...my credit card is maxed-out about four times over, and I'll be lucky if I can even manage to get a $75 ticket with the damned thing. If we get a rental car, it's definitely not on my credit card.

Again, I'd fuckin' love to get one...there are a couple lovely ladies to whom I owe favors and who are dying to get to the show. I'd love to play the cavalry, swoop in through Colorado, and drive off into the sunset with them, but I'm pretty thoroughly broke for the time being.

But, yeah...plane tickets are the cheaper way to go, so I'm sad to say that's probably how it's gonna work out.

Yeah it is expensive for one day unless you stretch it out to be a four/five day lost weekend (which I would like to do). I just have to convince one person to come with me, which shouldn't be difficult since everyone loves Vegas regardless of their feelings for Manson.

The stage is full-sized for large-scale productions. (MM better not cheap-out and leave his props and conffetti in storage, damnit!!)

No seat is more than 130 feet from the stage. (Ah-hah! $75 a ticket...now I get it.)

The seats are green. (B.Y.O.A.!!)

The aisle carpeting is red. (Hey, maybe we'll finally get "The Red Carpet Grave!!")

And...

The concert venue is wired to the Palms Recording Studio, which is even equipped for 5.1 mixing. (Oh, fuck...one can only hope!!!)

Well, as of now we're planning on driving there, we will go even if we end up broke in process. We just need to talk to a few people before we've got this solidified.

I rolled the dice, clicked "back," and got a far-more-preferable unobstructed view seat which is centered in the section behind the pit. Kinda worried that I'm evidently in seat 1 of my row (definitely don't want to be by an aisle), so hopefully I can switch with someone else deeper in the row. Perhaps someone with incontinence issues? Cheryl...you out there? (Fun fact: my TicketBastard Verification Code for the purchase was "leakage." Must be a sign!!)

It says "FLOOR *GENERAL ADMISSION* NO CHAIRS," so I think you're set. They just use the seat numbers to keep track of how many standing-room-only tickets they've sold.

I guess I just figured that aiming for the most expensive ticket price and selecting "BEST AVAILABLE" in both fields would pull up, I don't know, the tickets the get closest to the stage.

I had times when MapQuest would tell me to turn left when I really need to go right. And it wasn't on a one-way street or anything, it was just flat-out wrong. In addition, it seemed like through most of the southwest it wasn't using the names for the streets/highways/rural routes/whatever which are actually on the signs for them, which seems kind of important.

And speaking of idiotic fucking websites, on TicketBastard, when you select "Best Avaliable" it only searches for the best tickets avaliable in the price range you selected. If you chose the $60, $65, or $75 tickets instead of the $70 tickets, then General Admission tickets wouldn't come up at all.

Of course, it doesn't tell you anywhere exactly what price range to search within to find General Admission tickets. Ugh.

Furthermore, when you first search for Manson events, you can just search for all Manson events, all Manson events with G.A. tix, all Manson tix with Mezzanine tix, etc.

If you look to see what Manson events have G.A. tix, it says there are none scheduled.

BUT, if you look at the ONE fucking event scheduled for the U.S. right now (and if you manage to find the right, $70 price range), then -- of course there they are.


THAT is why I hate paying "service fees" with TicketBastard. You just don't get your money worth AT ALL.

The Rio is fly ! I loved staying there . The rooms are huge and there is loads of sleeping room . My friend had her bridal party stay there and we had extra people sleep in the room and we were able to have 2 or 3 people sleep on the couch and there still was room for more .

Incidentally, Travelocity and Expedia both still offer round-trip tickets for less than $250, and Greyhound will get you there and back for about $150 as long as you buy the tickets before the 24th. I've ridden on Greyhound for about that long before...with some headphones and something to use as a pillow, it's not that bad (especially considering how cheap it is). Food for thought, j_absi.

That's actully perfect. We were looking to drive down on the 30th, and then sleep. Go to the show, sleep then drive back on the 1st, because Salaam has school still. And her mom will want her back.

But that's our plan Unless you need to know the particulars which would be. leave at 4AM, 14 hour drive there, Stopping in New Mexico for cheap cigarettes. Arriving, hopefully hooking up with someone for a hotel. Sleep, concert, wake up drive back whenever we are ready to go.

Most of those resorts dont let you in the pool area unless you're staying there, or there's a pool party going on.

There are a number of good places to meet along the strip - it just depends on what you want to do while you're waiting - eat, drink, gamble, watch a band play, fondle a stripper, buy some drugs...
