Unfortunantly Mansons voice wasnt that great. I was afraid that he wouldnt be able to continue after Dispossable Teens. . So im not gonna complain about my sour throat. . and he still got a couple of more shows before xmas.

Why the inactivity in this thread? EVERYONE on the swedish intartubes were talking about this show after the great reviews of the one he played in STockholm, so there oughta be some 'Phant members out there!

Well, Scandinavium is (if I'm not totally mistaken) the biggest arena in Sweden.

Hovet(stockholm): 8000
Scandinavium(Göteborg): 12 044

Well this was the first Manson-concert that I got seats...so I didn't jump around as I used to, and that lower the points for me.
But as always I had a good sence of homour and talked something about viginas och said his throat was bad.
I think he did MUCH better this time then last time he was in sweden(2005 at Hultsfred festival, but of course he did better becouse it was his own concert, not a festival.)

I hated that both Turbonegro & Manson joked alot about GOTHenburg.
The setlist was the same as in stockholm and denmark I think, thou I missed the nobodies, and no encore.
I really liked the sampling before songs like Alice in Wonderland sample before "Are You The Rabbit" and Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas sample before "The Dope Show".

But a BIG plus is that he made Antichrist Superstar live the oldfashion way with the Antichrist Superstar logo and the podium.

I would give the show 4/5 points.

Anyway, you just point out the same as I did, that Scandinavium is bigger than Hovet.

I was front row to the right, right in front of the speakers and it was fucking incredible.
Turbonegro were hilarious and tight as fuck, i don't see why everyone seems to think they suck..
after they finished there was a 30 minute pause during which prodigy - smack my bitch up and that kanye west/daft punk ditty were played.
Then the lights went down and the piano clink started and i could see Manson through the gap between the sheet and the stage.
"6 A.M., christmas morning..."
Brilliant. I had read about it and watched it on youtube but nothing could prepare me for actually seeing and hearing it so clearly.
After the song was finished he explained that his voice was a bit fucked from both touring and from something that "involved a vagina and my face. it was a pussy avalanche! the doctor said i had ruptured my vocal chords and that i shouldn't go on tonight, LIKE I GIVE A SHIT!!! the show must go on.. but i'm sorry if it isn't exactly what you expected, but i'm gonna need some help tonight. and if you help me, gothenburg, i will love you... forever."

unfortunately the majority of the crowd didn't know exactly how the songs went and proceeded to just scream when he held out his microphone for us to sing along.
I screamed my head off at every word though.
At some points he did have alot of trouble with his throat and sometimes it did seem a bit like drunken karaeoke-singing xD "the drugs, they.. are mara heee in.. in GATHABAAAAA!!!!" but for the most part it sounded amazing and the throat troubles only provided an even cooler raspier filter to his already raspy, cool vocals.
the band was insanely tight, and they were all very charismatic and Manson smiled and seemed to really enjoy himself.
There was a real sense of vaudeville during the entire show.
My favorite part was DEFINATELY antichrist superstar, with the podium and the microphones and the fake smiling, waving and blowing kisses, it was fantesticle.
at the end he jumped down and walked along the front row, and i was about an inch away from him which was kind of cool.

"why is it that every time there is a shooting i get blamed for it? why don't i get blamed for CUMSHOTS?"
