I've spent two months now being obsessed with Manson, the music of manson, and the fans of manson (aka the MansonUSA boards, I always lurk). Shit, I'll fuck up my studies soon if I don't get off teh intarwebz.

I'm very excited towards the upcoming concert, I hope that it will be as energetic and good as the last month's shows. But I still think that EMDM is a boring era (then again, he says that this album is Warner, not Manson).

Before posting, I need to write this down before I forget; what are your opinion on doing drugs at a MM concert? I won't be able to afford beer for this weekend so I'm planning on smoking some hash at the show (or eating it before being searched by the guards, lol) - good or bad idea?

I usually don't do drugs at concert either (apart from festivals, LOL), but I see this as an exception since a) it's Manson and b) I'll be going by myself. Then again, I don't want to get couch-lock since I smoked some of the stuff I have atm last weekend, I got baked off my ass, lol.

So if it happens, I'll only do a small amount of it. On the other hand, since the drug laws in Sweden are like they are I'm not sure on how I would pull it off since me getting busted would destroy several aspects of my future... hm. Regardless, the tech-noir party sounds awesome, maybe I'll attend if it I'm not too tired :) (The problem is that I'm probably having a night out drinking on friday, lol)

There are two official aftershowparties. The one at Technoir and one at Rocks (www.myspace.com/clubrocks). They are both claiming to be official.
I will not be going to the Technoir .. there will be only weird cybergoths on the main floors dancing to industrial and ebm and futurepop (believe, they are all weird, I have been to the club twice and I hated it!!). I actually have no clue why they are doing the aftershowparty :S The floor that they want to do the aftershowparty on is small and they will play emo and Manson.
Rocks is pretty cool (although I'm not a rockchick). It is quite big and all big rockstars that have had concerts in Stockholm always partied there after their show (for instance Motley Crue, Nigthwish, Nine Inch Nails ..etc ..) . So I bet that at least the band will be there .. I mean come on, none of them is electrogoth .. at all .. they are all more rock.
And another thing ... technoir will cost 100 kr for entrance and the prices for drinks are very high whilst Rocks is for free until 11 p.m. and then only takes 60 kr (I think) .. and the beer is affordable.
I think it is weird that there are two official aftershowparties, Universal messed something up there.

But I want to be as close to the band as possible since attending this concert alone means that it will be me and the band, no one else (except the rest of the audience, that is).

I myself has 2 hours to withdraw money from my credit card, buy earplugs and bus tickets, meet up with a friend to sell him what I was going to smoke today (too much security, not worth it getting my life fucked up) and paying the neighbours for something that I broke yesterday, and lots of other shit. Then I have about an hour to shower my dreadlocks, hairdry them as much as possible and put 'em up in a cool style + changing clothes before I must run to the train. GAAAH

Yup. They had two cameras; one that was maneuvered around, hoovering all over the crowd and one with some guy who filmed the very front of the audience.

My night
- 2 hours queuing while standing up + 1.5 hour standing before Turbonegro + Turbonegro + 1.5 hours waiting for manson while standing up (yes, everything was delayed) + 2.5 hours Manson concert (and queueing for my jacket @ wardrobe) = roughly 6 hours, give or take some minutes or half an hour more/less time standing up. My legs are dead atm.

- All of the props were used.

- Manson talked about how we swedes were responsible for him having the Stockholm Syndrome: when he gets put inside his coffin after the show, and people start giving him all kinds of drugs, he likes it. LOL.

- He also mentioned how we were responsible for "this motherfucker" aka TIM. Everyone cheered at Tim, who threw a huge smile at the audience. I screamed "Happy Birthday timmy" but I doubt that he heard it even though I was pretty upfront close the stage.

- I held on to a large guy the whole time in order to not lose my place in the audience:; IT WAS CRAMMED. Whenever you lifted your feet, 2-4 other shoes came under you, LOL. Also, I was shoveled around A LOT the first half of the show, irritating.

- Turbonegro were awesome, although I didn't engage too much in their show; Due to only have eaten breakfast and nothing more in the whole day (yes, that means that I didn't drink anything either) I had to save the energy that was left, for Manson.

- The reflecting god has the most amazing instrumentals when performed live, gets me in sexy mood ^^

- I bought a Medium-sized Manson t-shirt for 100 SEK/ ~ 7 USD. It has EMDM-manson (+ red text spelling out the bands name and "european tour 2007", NOT "Rape of the world", something that I find utterly irritating) and tour dates in the back. Woot!

After the show I ate at McDonalds, 'nough said.

I'm dead tired and shall go to sleep with Sweet dreams. :)

This was my 30th Manson-concert and this was definetely one of the best. Manson seemed to be in a very good mood, he usually doesn't talk much to the audience but he did at this show.

As said, the setlist was the same although he sang two small parts of other songs, I have no clue what those songs were .. one he sang as a tribute to two people that weren't there tonight :S .. I was quite confused. He sang those a capella, maybe 10 seconds each. Anyone of the people who were there know which songs those were?

The show was awesome, he was showing off Tim a lot, saying that we were responsible for that motherfucker and Tim actually smiled ..0.o When did you ever see Tim smile? lol Tim also played like 3 long solos and the audience was going crazy.

Funny Stuff: Rob fell after one song and Manson just sat on his chest and then face. During one song Manson showed his naked ass to the audience but while singing he couldn't get up his leatherpants properly again, it was cute seeing how he tried to do that with one hand. And the burning bible that one roadie took up while still burning and was throwing it from one hand to the other and then trying to get it out with a towel.

Turbonegro were okay, I didn't find them spectacular. But the audience was actually really partying so it was enjoyable.

After the show I waited at the backstage entrance where the busses were standing but I gave up after an hour because it was so freezing that I couldn't feel my face anymore 0.o But I talked to the bands busdriver a bit .. really friendly bloke. He told me that Tims parents were backstage, that Manson was showering and that Ginger had four girls with him in a private room. The band was going to a club later, not Manson though. Did anyone see them at Rocks or something? And they didn't stay the night in Stockholm, they were going to drive to Göteborg already in the middle of the night.

Haha, I know. I thought about buying a hoodie before going in to the arena, but thought that I could buy shirts afterwards. With a stroke of luck, the english-speaking dudes outside sold - mostly - actual t-shirts bought from the inside. So I got what everyone else could buy inside, but cheaper :D

Oh, and I must add some stuff:

- We didn't sing happy birthday to Skold, although I tried to start it up.

- My feet hurt real bad today.

- Manson also wore all the different outfits as well.

- Shitloads of confetti (something that I deem unneccessary, but still)

- During "Heart shaped glasses", he threw out the glasses at the end of the song. They landed 1-2 metres at most from me, but everyone - EVERYONE - around me pushed like crazy and reached around for 'em so I had to make sure that I wasn't falling down instead of taking them, LOL.

- There were LOTS of girls in the audience, many of them cybergoths, apparently.

- There were no big screens, so it must have been fucking lame for those sitting in the very back of the arena, LOL >:)

Regarding the a capella manson did, I recall him saying that it was for "Two musicians who *mmmhmhmhmmhmhmhm* the other day/recently". Maybe he paid a small tribute to someone who has recently died? :s

It'll be fucking AWESOME if this show - or parts of it - make it into a tour DVD.

I bet that they will include footage from various shows. Unless the DVD is said to be exclusively from the Stockholm show, they'll probably do that. I just hope that it will look proffessional, I've seen some horrible editing where clothes are changed and audience disappears (Red hot Chili peppers, they filmed during concert and soundcheck and mashed it up, lol)...

This was my third time seeing him live.
Have to say it was much better performance than the horrible 2005 show at hultsfred, but it didnt beat the 2003 show i saw at Hovet.
Mansons voice was fine, no more horrible dying animal calls like in 2003 & 05,

Tim played rather well, Rob played just fine, Chris Vrenna... uhhh he was there, Ginger.. i couldnt see Ginger the whole time of the show except in the beginning when he was stretching behind his drumkit, some speakers was blocking the path.
The lift Manson used on Reflecting god was cool, more of that please!

The only problems i have is, it didnt feel like Marilyn Manson... you know the BAND Marilyn Manson it felt like the Axl Rose show with some yes men.
The effect screen they had was rather cheap lookin aswell, not very proffesional lookin effects...
And why no Portrait songs on the setlist ???
Except for the tiny Lunchbox part.

Still im pleasently suprised it was good show, Turbonegro did a great performance as usually, and the crowd enjoyed it, too bad about the short set though :\ only about 6 songs, i thought they where atleast to play 8-10.
Hank did some funny comments as usually, he spoke in swedish which was nice.
Hank is rather the athlete, considiring his weight haha.
Great fucking liveband, end of story.

Didnt even try to go to the bar after the show, was too tired.
My first time with seat tickets, never again i say, a concert should be experienced in the pit.

xD I've found the cause of the problem - I accidentaly put on an effect called "solarisera" in swedish, which I think can be translated as "solarize" perhaps? I donät mind though, I love the drug-like texture >:)

And the sound quality is so good that I can listen to it without wanting to turning it off, the instruments + mansons voice are pretty evenly distributed - this beats my digital camera by miles!

But now I REALLY have to log off, lol. Will return though.

I can already predict the awesomeness of the upcoming DVD; notice how Manson in the last minute or two of the song just walks away from the crowd and poses in front of a huge light - I can imagine that the cameramen taped it and it will be made into the final DVD.
