Just came back. First Manson concert for me, and it was really, really great. Turbonegro started off, I heard a few songs of them before but didn't really like them, but I must say I was pleasently surprised by their performance. The whole crowd in general seemed to enjoy them, except 5 or 6 who kept shouting for Manson. After Turbonegro, there was a break that lasted almost an hour, which was longer than I had expected. I was afraid the setlist would've been shortened, but that didn't happen, although the concert did end 10 minutes later. As for the Manson performance itself:

Intro
If I Was Your Vampire
mOBSCENE
Disposable Teens
Tourniquet
Irresponsible Hate Anthem
Are You The Rabbit?
Sweet Dreams/Lunchbox
The Fight Song
Putting Holes In Happiness
Heart-Shaped Glasses
Rock Is Dead
The Dope Show
The Reflecting God
Antichrist Superstar
The Beautiful People

No surprises here. They did the siren, so I thought they were gonna play Just A Car Crash Away, but they ended up doing Putting Holes In Happiness. All the props were there, the chair, Evan puppet, everything. The performance itself was spot on. I was all the way up front on Rob's side. His bass really surprised me, in a good way, although sometimes it completely drowned Tim's guitar. Manson's voice was great and he talked to the crowd quite a lot. After the first song, he went "Brussels, you're the loudest fucking crowd in Europe. We just came from London and they were pretty loud, so it's up to you to top that.", which I think we did. ;) There were a few tiny moshpits here and there, I was in one at the beginning but it sort of moved on during the show so I just jumped around a bit after that. He did the little song he did in Manchester before the Dope Show which was nice, and during Antichrist Superstar, the bible burning didn't disappoint either, it was a really nice flame. :)

During the break, a man with a digital camera filmed the crowd, and during the concert a professional camera filmed it too. I don't know how much he filmed, but I'm pretty sure he was there for the entire second half, I didn't pay attention to him before that.

After the show I didn't really pay attention to the merchandise since I had to catch the last train, but I did buy 2 posters, both the same but printed on both sides. One side has a pic of GAOG Manson. The other has another pic from the same era, but with the EMDM style 'MM', and all the albums covers forming an upside down cross.

To sum up, I don't think my first Manson concert could've gone any better. Everything was just right, the band, the crowd, everything. I nearly froze to death waiting to get in, but looking back it was definitely worth it. Again, I didn't take any pics, but some might show up elsewhere.

Just came back from the show, too bad I'm not the first one to review it. But I had a long ride home as I do not live in Belgium. However, the review right above sums it all up, I can't really think of much to add. Except: they did Disposable Teens before Mobscene, not the other way around. Manson kind of fooled me when he started talking about 'one more song' prior to Reflecting God. He sort of had me thinking there he was going to skip Antichrist Superstar, because I did not believe for a second he was not goig to play TBP. But thank the antichrist he did not (skip ACSS). Only thing 'missing' I would have wanted to see was the boxing ring in The Fight Song. Which was a bit messy btw, like it has been on the entire tour.

In comparison to the show in Landgraaf on May 27th (the first show of the tour, which I also attended) tonight really was much better. Manson's voice was at least twice as good. In Landgraaf they played GBWW, Tainted Love, JACCA and Y&M&TDM3. But of those four, I really only missed Tainted Love. JACCA was replaced by Tourniquet (which was brilliant and much, much better than in 2005) and Y&M&TDM3 was replaced by Are you the Rabbit. I think those songs fit the set much better so kudos to the band for changing that. IMO, GBWW and Tainted Love could/should have been part of the set, without leaving something else out. Same goes for The Love Song. Coz' that's my only small complaint: the set is a bit short. But: no way it is too short.

Well, I guess I won't be in for many surprises when I visit the show in Holland tomorrow, which is were I live. But that's okay, judging by tonight it is going to be great!

Off to bed for some solid sack time now, can't wait to wake up and realize I'm going to see Manson tonight, just like this morning!

I got that from outside the Manchester show in the UK aswell,

Sounds like it was a good show, thanks for posting.

Disposable Teens BEFORE mOBSCENE? no way!^^

Glad you enjoyed it, I'm just curious why he isn't doing the boxing-thing anymore...
It was a nice Bowie reference and fit the song, but maybe he read here that some of you think it was gay ;D

How long was the concert? With a full hour of intermission between 'negro and Manson I get worried, I'm seeing him this saturday and want to be able to get home during the night, lol.
