HA!!!

:)

Tell him to look at a few of mine to see how it's done!!

I am not so sure anymore if he is going to record it .. :/ we intended to have seats on one of the sides near stage, but they did not sell these tickets, so we will stand. This makes it much harder.

and by the way, I think he knows how its done..

Well, if you think he needs any other tutorials, I could send him those tapes, too.

I think the show yesterday was great. His voice was good and I think everything went smoothly. It seemed to me he was in a good mood as well. He talked to the audience a bit, saying: "its soo good to be back in Vienna" and "Vienna is my favorite city in Europe". During Lunchbox he wanted people to sing along but they didn't quite know what Manson wanted from them, so he slapped his head like he wanted to say: "there is no point in that" .. it was kind of funny.

setlist:

If I Was Your Vampire
Disposable Teens
mOBSCENE
Tourniquet
Are you the rabbit
Irresponsible Hate Anthem
Sweet Dreams / Lunchbox
The Fight Song
Putting Holes in Happiness
Heart-Shaped Glasses
The Dope Show
Rock Is Dead
The Reflecting God
Antichrist Superstar
The Beautiful People

EDIT: under this link you can find a short video and a diashow, I just cannot link it directly:

Thanks for the setlist, and the person who linked to pics, I will get them added into the tour section of the site.

lol yeah it sounds funny, especially because when Manson was in vienna in 2003 he started to sing Lunchbox (only time he did on Grotesk Burlesk) but the audience stayed quiet so he continued with Rock Is Dead!

IHA after AYTR?...that's new, but still no JACCA :/

Death Kid

This is the correct setlist of the show....IHA before AYTR!!

If I Was Your Vampire
Disposable Teens
mOBSCENE
Tourniquet
Irresponsible Hate Anthem
Are you the rabbit
Sweet Dreams / Lunchbox
The Fight Song
Putting Holes in Happiness
Heart-Shaped Glasses
Rock Is Dead
The Dope Show
The Reflecting God
Antichrist Superstar
The Beautiful People

Manson was really awesome....at the end of lunchbox and reflecting god he really gave his best and this reminded me of years like 2000 or 2001....

unfortunately it was a concert on a monday...there would have been more people on a weekend, but i was still a great concert...

I don't know if you guys know..but this was the first time!!! that manson played antichrist superstar live in Austria!!! Great, isn't?? :)

All in all it was the best show since 2003 i think...

unfortunately no new songs in the setlist -.-

He did that during every single Show on the European leg of the Tour in 2003...

Hell, yeah, these are really nice...danke, Lunchbox_!!!

:)

The sound quality's quite nice (love that reverb!!) and even though it's frequetly overly distant with some unfortunate shot choices, the camera is very well-steadied. Good job!!

And way to go on catching Manson in a lyrical flub -- he catches it himself and manages to correct it midway through the lyric, too, which is always impressive.

Plus you got the polaroid and dual limb removal, which are both fairly rare.

Seems strange that they'd go back to the simple two-heart lighting effect after working out the pretty swirly-heart animation for the rear-projection stuff, but it still looks great either way.

Danke vielmals!!!

Yeah, great show... better than the Prague 07 one... good voice/sound and cool performance/effects.

The support band was... erm quite interesting, thought. Turbonegro's singer is the sexiest musician I've ever seen :D

The audience was good, sometimes vivid but sometimes had some people no idea what Manson wants from them... but still very good.

I just regret the setlist - it's still the same, new countries, new cities but still the same setlist, that's pity :/

But I liked and enjoyed the show a lot... I also 'fell in love' - twice :D love at first and second sight (they were sisters :D) ... there were a lot of 'Manson, EMO' style (girl) fans who looked really beautiful (as they always do :))... as I said, I had a lot of fun.

That's "1996", not Lunchbox ;-)

He did that sometimes....but in Vienna he wanted to play Lunchbox but no one followed so he descided to play Rock Is Dead instead of it...

He said something like "um, no, let me hear you screm rock, rock, rock..."

Hazekiah

More cool videos, thanks for those, Lunchbox_!!!

Your friend was driving me fucking crazy during "The Reflecting God," though, lol. He films the looping words for most of the song, not even following Manson when he finally walks into -- and then back out of -- frame, and then stops filming the word-loop when it actually does something new and different. I don't believe I've heard of it dwelling on the word GOD like that before. Very cool. And very briefly shot. Argh.

Anyway, Manson was obviously on fucking fire that night...looks like he ripped Vienna a new asshole!!!

3 our of 5 reviews I found are negative...it's so dumb, sometimes they say "it wasn't good, because he's not shocking (anymore)" or "nothing new to this tour"....but fuck it, we know that this tour has improved so much, the band and manson sound great, the theatrics are perfect and the setlists are good (just a little short)

yeah, I think the GOD thing is new ;P

Well, I haven't seen the giant chair in 2003. Or the rising platform with all the smoke. Or the knife microphone. Or the light-googles during Sweet Dreams. Or all the great atmosphere with the curtain and all the candles, smoke, light and moon during If I Was Your Vampire. Or all the smoke and confetti and chaos at the end of The Beautiful People. Or the robot and the heart-shaped confetti for HSG. Or the burning bible.

Ok, the robot and podium have been there before, but it still works and Manson always adds something new to them.

Would it be too bothersome to elaborate? Did you enjoy their performance? Did they do "Good Head?" I see you liked Hank, but how about their guitarist Euroboy?

Actually, I did not know the band before... I am not from Austria or Germany. I asked one lady who told me some more info about the band but still... they did not hit my string. Their music style is not among my favourite genres. But on the other hand, they wasn't so bad. Their guitarist (looked very young), probably Euroboy, as you called him, was good. He played really well.

here is another article and diashow:
http://www.oe24.at/zeitung/leute/article172422.ece

short translation about what is written in the article:

MM about burning the bible in Vienna: "I just can't help but burn the bible. That is a bad habit of mine."

In the Austrian newspaper there was a special edition about Manson's concert and Manson was on the cover of it. "Oh, That is me on the the cover. Hopefully a lot of horrible things are written in here". Then he put the newspaper in his touring suitcase, which Evan was watching over.

He cancled his sightseeing tour because his girlfriend, however, was able to come to Europe with him, so he came to Vienna only shortly before the show. (my comment: days before he had an interview with the same newspaper and told them about coming to Vienna a day before the show because he wanted to see the criminal museum in Vienna.)

http://www.oe24.at/zeitung/multimedia/archive/00109/APAFTP-21181548_109913a.jpg
333 half evil - that made me smirk.

God, I am glad they made a special edition about Manson. I think its sweet he kept the newspaper. Probably he was glad at least someone appreciates him. Most newspaper reviews of the show were just stupid! They never stop their whining about Manson not being shocking and they use the same words to describe the show, they used in the reviews from years ago, like: "childrens birthday party". It looks like they just look up what someone else has written about him before and rewrite it in their own words, without really having an opinion about him.

Hey, I wanted to let you know, just for the record, that I didn't mean to come off as a snotty bastard.

I had no idea that you're involved with McSpade, or, indeed, that he had ever filmed any shows before.

Re-reading my earlier post with the benefit of that knowledge I realized that someone who thought I had known all that might get the wrong idea.

Just wanted to clear that up.

:)

P.S. Austria, eh? I look forward to trackin' that one down and checkin' it out.
