Just so long as Cheryl's beater of a car can make the haul, you betcha!!
Even if I can't get a ticket, I'll still be in attendance right outside of the venue.
But watch out, j_absi, if you keep makin' assumptions we might have to bust out some ass-to-ass action.

I pretty much registered for the sole purpose of posting in this thread. Well okay, not really. I'm gonna stick around though.
But, I was at the san diego show... and I'm not going to boggle down and post a rediculously long review, because I have a youtube video on that.
Here's a few little 'highlights' about the show though.
the funniest thing ever, was the slayer pit. shirtless gross guys slamming into each other and sliding off due to their excessive sweat. heeeelarious.
I'm not exactly POSITIVE on this, but my friend said Manson did things at this show he hadnt done yet in the tour. The robotic Evan Rachel Woods for example, my friend is conviced is new. He burned a bible, my friend said that was new too. (For this tour anyway. Which was really appropriate since I had to fend off a bible thumper for verbally attacking me.)
Actually, I should talk about that, we owned him. First he assaults the guy in front of us, with some random shit I didnt catch, and the guy tells him that it's just music. So the thumper replies, "How do you feel about the lyrics to Manson's highway to hell?! That's CLEARLY SATANIC." So my friend chimes in on how Manson didn't write it, and if he's going to try to make Manson out to be satanic, he should pick a song Manson actually wrote, as opposed to covers. Then the thumper said it didnt matter because he still sang it, and here's where I started verbally assaulting him, with the use of a metaphor, and all kinds of different things "Highway To Hell" could figuratively mean. When he sat there astouded, I continued on with how ignorant he is to assume we're satan worshipers because of our musical tastes and for all he knows we could be going to church the next day, and love jesus more than he did. He didn't like that, and walked off to bug someone else.
Okay, back to the show. This was my friend's millionth time seeing Manson so I'm going go have him post about it in detail. Something I'm incapable of doing since this was my first time, and everything was new and amazing and awesome to me. (I never watched concert footage aside from the starfuckers thing.) Honestly, I dont remember most of the show. Bits and pieces here and there. I remember the crowd sucked. People were rude as hell, and liked to hit people and shove them, and slayer fans are horrible.
I should elaborate, during the last song (ahaha, thank god.) I was dehydrated, and I couldn't take being sandwiched imbetween five people. (I'm five ten, 102 lbs, I'm a tiny girl.) So I climbed up to crowd surf out before I fainted. Well, security had their backs to the crowd and were more interested in the stage, or something by it, and they didnt see me, and I landed on my head. (I'm actually in process of proving the security guards werent paying attention.) So I remember like... well bits and pieces like I said.
But yeah, that's pretty much all I remember. I'll get on getting my friend to post a review.

Glad to hear you guys are still on the road!! I'm so freaking jealous right now as it has been at least 2 weeks and you guys are doing exactly what I wish I was while I'm sitting at a freaking desk typing legal documents for 9 hours straight. Oh, I am so jealous. Hope to hear stories from both of you when you get back! Let me know if you'll be making your way through my state on your way back.

Well, let's just say I'm on my own now.
But, sorry, I'll probably be flying back when I return my rental car in San Diego. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed my Lincoln experience, though, so I'm sure I'll be back soon.
Sorry, short on time here, but the flaming bible made its debut on the East coast (Philly/Camden, I believe), and Evan-the-mechanical-cake-server first popped up in Chicago, if I'm not mistaken. Good post, Brody...stick around!!
Oh, and the setlist was the revised version of the current, standard setlist...i.e. with "The Reflecting God," and without "The Love Song."

I know, I know its been two weeks but its never too late! I had to drive back to L.A. after the show, then I went to Las Vegas the following morning for a few days then back to L.A. then flew back to NYC, and I've been working / going to school so I haven't really had the time. I didn't go picture or recording crazy because I wanted to enjoy myself but here are the few ok shots I got:
I enjoyed the show overall. I didn't catch bleeding through (because I was pre-gaming in the parking lot, drinking 100 proof Southern Comfort w/ Dr.Pepper :D) , but I've seen them in the past so I could care less. Slayer was incredible I think, I was really into their set. Mansons performance wasn't the best I've seen but by far not the worst. I really think the crowd sucked ass for Manson though. you San Diegoans are so BORING! I was the one trying to start shit. I LOVED the crowd for Slayer, but as soon as Manson came on...everyone was just standing there, I was like ".........................."
Every Manson show I've been to here in New York, I've feared for my life because the crowd was that intense....... But I guess everything is crazyier here in New York..Like a Yankees game here, the drunks starting fights and cursing in the stands (especially when Bostons in town)..........I went to see an Angels game in Anaheim and I saw families all smiling and shit & being polite and no drunks fighting, I was shocked.
But anyway Manson did perform very well, I enjoyed it, I took my two friends who had never seen Manson before and they had a great time.
I didn't meet and phants, =/ but I'm convinced I saw Hazekiah leaving the Target across the street from the venue as I going in there to take a shit :)

Busted!! Yup, that must've been me, since I was forced to buy a crappy TracFone there to replace the cell phone I lost on DXM up in Irvine. (And I bought more DXM, too...I'm a wild man!! That, and I was still sick.) Also had to pick up a couple better-quality DVCs, as the batch I got for cheap at Sam's turned out to suck balls (no surprises there).
Anyway...too bad you were in such a big hurry to take a shit, it would've been cool to hang out a bit. Or were you just too intimidated by my badass braids, boots, and Cub Scout shirt combo, too?
;)
Jus' joshin' ye...thanks again for postin' the cool pix...we must've been right next to each other for "Antichrist Superstar."

^^^^ braids?!! ok, now I definetly know it was infact you. lol, I really did mean to stop and chat, but I did have to take a shit pretty bad, after being stuck in traffic from L.A. for over 3 hours, and was already somewhat drunk so I didnt want to make an ass out of myself ;)

Damn, that's a shame!! I was high on booze and dextromethorphan...we could've made asses of ourselves together!!
But, yeah, that was definitely me...I wish you would've just said "howdy" really fast. I could've waited for you outside. Or gone in with you, held your hand, and encouraged you to "push...PUSH!! I can see the head, honey!!"
:P
Anyway, yeah, if you were comin' down I-5, yeah, it was hellishly slow fucking traffic, so I understand. What should've taken about an hour-and-a-half (from Irvine to Sac.) ended up being about a three-and-a-half hour drive.

From the Slatanic Wehrmacht site:
Slayer Slashes San Diego
09.28.2007Slayer tore up the San Diego Sports Arena with YeboTV on August 25, 2007 as the metal icons were winding down their 2007 US Summer Tour. Over 40,000 fans viewed the show from over 60 different countries as YeboTV streamed 11 straight hours during the day. Fans were treated to a sound check and even metalcore heavyweights Bleeding Through's performance. This was old school Slayer showing the young guns how it’s done.
The camera work really portrayed the mood of the crowd, and any misconceptions of an online concert not being able to capture the live show essence -- was shattered. YeboTV used 7 HD cameras and all content was recorded for HD and DVD distribution. The chat rooms went wild as metal heads from 28 different countries were identified to make for a truly global experience. On October 2, 2007, YeboTV will rebroadcast the Slayer show three times. They filmed the entire day, actually...and the Bleeding Through set is archived on yebotv.com.
For Manson's set, I know they didn't use the cranes and such, but I'm told they were still filming, regardless. As to whether or not that segment was streamed that day, I have no idea.
Apparently the Slayer stream is just about the most popular thing yebotv's ever done, so it looks like they might appeal for further rebroadcast rights. And hopefully it'll be for sale as a DVD someday (or it might be the free co-headlining tour DVD the Slatanic Wehrmacht has been promising its members).
We'll see.
