Hey, can anyone confirm the actual existance of this show? The Studio Coast website does not show this performance, and neither does any other website, including the official Japanese page. The date is only a month away, and I wanna go, but it doesn't look like it really exists.

Maybe does he know someone who went to these shows... Or maybe someone know some jap traders... I mean, for the other tour, bootlegs have surfaced. So there is certainly a Manson jap fan community... We have to find them!

Oh, do share!

Best sound mix, great venue, fanatic audience of fucked-up lolitas and guys in football gear with fetish masks, incredible performance by mm vocally along with random speechifying, frequent audience diving (with security having to pull him out and literally set him back onstage), plus it was PACKED with great fans top to bottom who knew all the words to every song but couldn't communicate to you in any normal way.

It's a whole different level over here - take the people you like best about this site, multiply them by a hundredfold and fill your favorite venue with them and that's what you have last night.

Me times a million!

*creams self!*

Seriously though, if that were the case, Manson would have to start selling Carmex instead of t-shirts. He'd make alot more money that way.

Even more seriously though, sounds like a spectacle. Glad it was a badass show.

That sounds fucking awesome, hope you snapped some pictures!!

And speaking of which, holy jesus fucking hell...he wasn't kidding, people.

Just look at this fucking place!!!

EDIT: Oops!! Wrong venue...this is where they'll be playing next. But, still...damn.

If RabidNelson never checks in, we'll probably never know what was said...care to give us a brief synopsis of what he spoke about?

:)

Yeah, I see your point.

A venue full of j_absi-clones would definitely need some major herpes-relief.

Sorry, but that's not the place. That's Saitama Super Arena it looks by the looks of the John Lennon Museum. Last night was Studio Coast, much smaller, but that meant it was way easier to cram up close to the front and be next to Manson when he dove into the audience.

Yeah, the performance was awsome, and I couldn't believe how many Japanese people knew all the lyrics. There's no way they understand a fucking word they're saying. Most of them anyways. Hehe.

The crowd was good I guess, but to be honest, I went by myself and didn't do too much interacting. The show starts so soon after work and the tickets are so expensive, there was no chance in hell of getting anyone to go with me. I took half a day off work to get there early.

The show was reeeeally short. At least it felt that way to me. And I was disappointed there weren't more new songs. The audience didn't seem to care for the new songs almost at all though, so maybe it was for the best. I intentionally kept myself completely free of spoilers, cause I wanted to be suprised by what songs he played, but there weren't really any suprises. It was all pretty predictable.

The ending was great. During "Beautiful People", Manson jumped into the audience right next to me, and then promptly lost his mic in the audience. The ending to the song was completely instrumental. The guy who gave the mic back after the concert was given a backstage pass too, which was cool.

It was my first Manson concert in six years, and I'm damn glad I finally got to go again. Damn, that shit fucked me up though, my ribs are raw and sore today. Definitely worth it though.

Glad you had a good time...thanks for reporting back (and for correcting me -- D'oh!!).

So, what was up with all that "random speechifying" of Manson's?!? What did he talk about, and what did he have to say about it?

And, yeah, that was the Saitama Super Arena I posted pix of earlier -- my bad, I was looking at the venue for the show after the one you went to.

Here's the Studio Coast venue, everyone (sorry about my mix-up earlier):

I love the look of that crazy disco-ball lighting rig over the audience, by the way...they'll probably be pickin' confetti out of that thing for weeks.

Wow!!!Sounds fun and wonderful.Isn't it so unlike Marilyn to jump into the crowd?I thought so at least.
-But,it sure sounds dreamy......

Hazekiah
10-19-2007, 10:06 PM
For Manson to jump on the crowd in an somewhat crowdsurfer-esque sort of way is almost unheard of...but it does happen occasionally.

Once on the Self-Destruct '94 tour, and once on the Guns, God, and Government tour are all that really leap to mind right now, though (if you'll pardon my pun).

Lucky bastards.

Oooooooh....I like it when you get a little bitchy, Haza-no-patience-seeing-him-in-a-week-anyway-ekiah (and you even went all small type on my ass)

You know I don't like to ruin surprises - and i don't want to misquote things when my experience was getting knocked around out in the crowd - but check your email anyway (as long as you keep sizable fonts to a minimum in the future)

Well, you just dropped in here really quickly a couple of times (and were clearly likely to be kind of busy, I figured), so that was meant more for RabidNelson...he quoted the post where I asked about it, wrote several paragraphs, and never mentioned a word about it!! Argh!!

And I very much appreciate your preservation of the mystique and your wish to not do a disservice to the actual quotes. Right, right. Can't fault a brotha fo' tryin', yo'.

;)

Glad to hear you got to be out in the crowd for a change, by the way...especially with that crowd. Sounds like a damned fun time!!

Furthermore, glad to hear you'll be in attendance in Vegas!!! I wasn't sure what exactly you were up to these days...can't wait to see you there!! (I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever get the chance to pay back the money I owe you...)

In the meantime, hope you're havin' fun!!!

P.S. No e-mail yet.

:(

P.P.S. Oh, my P.M. box is kind of permanently full...TheBlackGoat@yahoo.com or my MySpace crap is really best. Sorry 'bout that.

See you soon!!!!

To be honest, I don't remember most of the random comments he made cause most of them were REALLY random from what I remember. For example, just repeating the word "Tokyo" over and over again in weird ways, or he'd just throw in something like "This is a new song." Not sure he said anything terribly quotable, so I didn't bother quoting him.

I'd imagine that's correct. That's how he started introducing it halfway through the run of co-headlining dates.
