May be a double post but 4 days between..

Shit. I got a friend all interested and looking forward to coming with me to this gig, went to buy her ticket just now and floor standing is sold out =/ Thing is I already have mine. Fuck. There are similar unlicensed floor seats available - if you have a seat ticket are you stopped at all from just staying in the standing area?

*Ok nevermind, went and ordered a seat ticket expecting to be able to specify the name on it and before I realised, ordered myself another ticket with my name on it. Emailed customer service right after/just now -_-

NOT to cause alarm!! BUT a friend of mine here at work (yep here we go...) was told over the weekend that the MEL 5th OCT show was cancelled.

www.ticketek.com are still selling tkts and i've not read anything anywhere....and i remember seeing ppl on ebay selling this show...

I'm still investigating...CAUSE my Showbiz tkt still haven't been allocated...i'm calling them now!

I just hope this is a HORRID rumour!

OK i think is pure bullshit....nevermind.

I sent and recvd back an email from Michael Coppela who confirmed that the concert is NOT cancelled.

AntiChristSaint and i will be in MEL early on the Thur 4th Oct and i'm wondering what we're gonna to to stop from going stir crazy in anticipation AND from killing each other...from anticipation... :)

The tickets i've bought thru Showbiz have finally been allocated and sent, only to 18yo + seating in the licensed area. Great seats but not when i'm seeing the gig with a 17yo.

NO, no fake ID ideas will be entertained.

I need to either swap one or both seated tkts with floor tkts OR unlicensed seating.

Tkt are sec 11 row H seats 38/39.

IF ANYONE CAN POSSIBLE HELP, i would be very appreciative!

I've got Showbiz trying to swap then thru the promotor and i've contacted Michael Coppel directly to ask for their help as well.

With the show only a few weeks to go, i'm excited but apprehensive about not getting the 17yo a tkt.

Not sure about a pre meet, but if your over 18 there is an OFFICIAL after party at the Royal Melbourne Hotel presented by Caberet Nocturn (I'm getting flyers off the promoters soon and I'll be posting the flyer on this thread and maybe another if its applicable)

The entry will be 10 dollars, or 8 dollars with a pass or concert ticket and the doors will be open at 10pm (I suppose that may also be saying something about the setlist length for the show)

Well from what they told me, they have the record label to help them with giveaways and they've sent the band an invitation through the management to come along.

The venue has a special V.I.P section to cater for the band should they wish to take up the invitation

I was at the melbourne show last night. Right up at the barrier, dead center!! Manson held my hand twice! It still seems like a dream.
The props that I can remember off the top of my head right now were the big black curtain with the 2 red MM's that droped when if I was your vampire kicked in, the big screen projecting images, the boxing ring and robe during fight song and the antichrist podium. There were also a few costume changes like the top hat for mobscene etc. Just a car crash away was also on the setlist. As usual Evan was standing on the side of the stage and Manson went over to chat to her several times between songs and during one of Tims guitar solos
I also noticed something else that might have already been discussed. (sorry if it has.) Manson has a new tattoo right beside the swirly heart. I tried to get a good look at it and I swear it looks like some kind of ornate butterfly.

No, unfortunately he didnt bring out the robot for HSG. Not complaining though. I'm just so grateful that he did ACSS with the podium. In my opinion last night blew the Grotesk Burlesk show I saw in 03 out of the water.

Show was fucking awesome. Only phant I'm aware I ran into there was JassyJay and her little bro waving from up in the seats. I spent most of the time up the back.. too friggin hard to get back out of the centre to use the toilet and stuff :P

Yeah.. Couldn't have been a cooler setlist or a better performance for my first show.

I met up with Beatrixvselle/Mia Wallace afterwards (if anyone remembers her), went clubbing. Good night but I'm absolutely fucked :| roommate made me get out of bed after 4 hours sleep arg. Anyway, will post the photo of Mia and I in the back of a taxi when she gets it to me ^_^

i was there for a few hours, wasnt bad, but they could have played more manson and less fucking retro. and also more freebies... plus i was planning on driving later so i didnt drink anymore... wish i had now!

i wasnt overly impressed with this show compared to his last in melb... all the breaks in between songs really calmed me down, i would have much rathered a tighter set and a few more songs...

stll fucking good to see him though and a much better experience than last time!

The lil bro did spot Deathdust before me but i did have mee glasses on...but while i was waiting for Deathdust to pull out his finger and move along from the bar, i was getting hassled by the security dude (who later confiscated my camera.....during Rock is Dead grr...), i did manage to wave and jump up and down once we spotted each other it was cool! Sorry we didn't get to chat tho....:)

I think i did spot TimTim but by the time i was able to move and possibly have a chat, he'd/you'd moved on...but you looked great all the same!

Ok so i just walked in the door back in Adelaide after a great wk end. We got to Melbourne and our motel was pretty much across the rd from Festival Hall which was great. We got into the show and when they let us stand up in the pit my girlfriend runs to the front over people, so i follow and we got fucken front row and stayed there all night. Right infront of Ginger and in between Skold and Manson.

So The Spazzys were up first and fuck me they were soooo fucking bad, but i did think the singer handled the crowd ok, the drummer was shitting her self. I sort of felt bad for them. Hahah.

So they finally ended and then the banner came down and from that point i knew we were getting a better deal than N Zealand props wise. I knew Manson takes ages to come out but it felt like forever due to guitar trouble, but we had the most amazing spot so i didnt complain once.

The Intro finally started and we could see the band behind the banner and everyone went apeshit. They started and it was the best feeling, i have seen manson three times but friday was the BEST, as everyone is saying the haters can fuck off, you tube does not give them justice. You need to be there live before you start talking shit. They were amazing all night.

They ripped threw the usual set from overseas, minus AYTR, but including Antichrist which was one of the many highlights. I thort the new songs sounding way better live, and overall the band feels like a band, extremely tight and seemed to enjoy the show.

The highlight for me was Tim Skold and Ginger, i cannot believe how good they were. Tim with his unmatchable stage presense and Ginger just held the whole set together and looked amazing while doing it. (I was screaming and pointing at them both all night and got smiles back from Ginger and tim gave me his trippy stares and weird movements) I felt bad because i hardly noticed Vrenna and Rob, but Ginger and Tim just forced the focus on them.

Mansons voice was fine and he seem to be liking the show, he jumped infront of us three times and i got touch him all times. During Beautiful Peaple he was holding my hand for ages, pretty fucken kool.

The props were kool, i was expecting the boxing skit to be lame but was funny and well pulled off live. I thort the set was a touch short but the actual songs were great considering he hasnt changed it up much this year. Have many short videos and pics but will sort threw them before posting and see if there worth putting up here.

I could on forever, sorry for rambling but it was fucking amazing. One more thing tho, for once i thort the merch was A +, those hoodies are sick, and the shirts are really kool. Getting mine in Adelaide, yeah i get to watch it all again on Thursday fuckersssss haha, im stoked.

Just need to meet Ginger now and my Manson experience will be complete. Hope everyone @ Festival Hall enjoyed it as much as me.

That show was soooo fucking insane! Out of all the footage I've seen, both pro shot and amature of this tour, that was by far one of the best! Sure, the stage was minimal, but I don't give a fuck! That fucker went off! He sounded top notch... In fact, I couldn't bring myself to watch the pepsi show from the previouse nights because I reckon it would taint the listening experience that I had!

His singing was spot on! Car crash was awseome, if i was your vampire was more insane than I ever thought it COULD be and antichrist was the fucking tits!

I reckon he's had more crowd interaction in this show than he has the entire tour.

He picked up some top someone threw at him and said "Someone threw me this top, it looks all diiirty" than shoved it down his pants and I could see that he either shaves, or really takes care of his pubic hair! God damn that part of him is in good shape!

He showed off his ass, and not coz he was trying to be shocking but coz he fucking loved us! I barely saw any phones or cameras out, it was awesome, they were all there for the fucking show! And I think he really appreciated that.

He was so into If I was your vampire, and a few parts where he should have been singing softly he was yelling the fuckers coz he was soo pumped!

Tim was a fucking legend! He played imaculately and had he not accidently fucked up by switching off his guitar after putting holes in happiness, he would have been 100% perfect. He even did a pose specially for me coz most of the hands were going mansons way but I was fucking going off for tim all the way! He looked right at me a few times too! I love that fucker, he looks so firm and solid in person, but in a really good way.

I almost touched manson a few times, the crowd was ballistic! I still cant believe I survived it. The pit almost fell over at the beginning, and at one point there was a big gap were some dude was threatening to take people on lol but he was alright!

There was no Are you the rabbit, my only dissapointment, but antichrist superstar made up for that. He was smashing that podium to bits! And the microphones were going everywhere! He almost lost the bible at one point but managed to keep hold of it and tried to set it alight. Something inside it musten't have worked properly coz it was ment to set on fire so he just threw it down and went with it.

I had to help probably 7 or so people over and out of the pit, the poor kids were dropping like flies and apparently a few had to be stretchered out! And another kid manson was helping take to backstage help in the breaks, talking to some security dude it looked like.

Oh, and speaking of tim and manson, not sure if anyone noticed or commented. but this was THE first time I've ever seen manson introduce a band member (mainly coz tim was fucking up the guitar solo part for lunch box) So manson goes (i think)
"And this is my guitarist tim skold on the guitar solo" (or something to that effect) and skold ripped out the lunch box solo.

Skold played the dope show (if i remember correctly) solo ending as apposed to the riff ending john would usually play.

Skold added an extra guitar accent to lunchbox through his quiet parts.

Ginger was awsome, he was pounding the shit out of those drums. I couldn't see much of chris or rob, but it looked like rob's shaved his hair short.

And the speach about the lady was hilariouse. I can't remember word for word but it was along the lines of

"The lady wrote a review, I'm not sure if you've read it, but it goes blah blah blah blah blah marilyn manson fans are all stupid blah blah blah ectera excetera excetera excetera blah blah all marilyn manson fans are stupid and not as smart as him bla bla bla bla bla bla bla.(everyone was booing) he condones and promotes pornography (everyone cheers) that last part may be true (he smiles) i believe that freedom of speech doesn not have a dental plan, and if she believes in equal opportunity for wemon I believe equal beatings are in order as well... so shout for me be, obscene, be be obscene!"

Not exact, but close enough. My girlfriend recorded a part of the last bit.

He had a few other speaches but the p.a was a bit fucked in sound quality so I couldn't hear what he said too well.

But most importantly, he wasn't mumbling, or slurring. He accented all the tone musically, screamed powerfully as appoased to weakly, and was far from drunk and drugged up. He was sooo fucking into the crowed, but then, being only 3 people away from him, the power of his connection and interaction was insane! His eye's are so beautiful! And god he still works the crowds, no one is left un noticed.

At the end of the show I breifly talked to chris vrenna, letting him know how awsome the show was, how great he was and to not take any notice about fans saying how shit marilyn manson is turning and he said that the speech was to do with that, and he thanked me for the support. He was awsome! I was surprised he even bothered to talk back thinking i was just a stupid fan but he really did give me his attention! He's awsome.

I saw ginger walk past too but he was busy, i yelled out and he looked and acknowledged me but i could tell he was in a rush so I didn't stop him

It was THE best show I've ever been in and far surpasses any shit you'll see on dvd, tv, online or even on a pro recording, they just don't pick up the energy or intensity or the sound accents that are hinted in the voice and instruments.

I could go on forever about how great it was, but I will just say Manson is NOT dead, he is far from washed up and it definately is the crowd that makes the show or not and the crowd fucking went nuts!

I started an encoure we want more chant but the end music and house lights just came on instead. Sucks, but ah well.

No I didn't notice that, but I did notice him dissapear every now and then, and then appear to the far left on the top of the speakers I think. one second everyones arms were pointed to the middle, the next everyones arms were suddonly to the left, I'd look and he'd be there reaching out to everyone and he'd be only cm's from my reach. It was amazing!

well im finally back home after seeing the show, which was absolutely superb :)

im incredibly tired so forgive me if what im about to say is nonsensicle.

my 2nd time seeing a manson show, & i must admit, though it was great, it just wasnt as good as the first show i saw, not sure why that is/was, im guessing just because the first show you see of your fav band sortof tends to stick with you & be the main milestone / set a "benchmark", & that it was during the gaog, which imo was a more energetic experience & with more props..

i didnt see any fermiliar faces btw (you bastards :P :) ), & i was kindof expecting someone to come up & say hello, but im actually honestly kinda glad that you didnt, because i probably wouldnt have known who you were & seemed rude, & i also looked absolutely terrible from drinking too much & breaking out in a pizza face of zits due to it, & due to the stress of the plane trip (planes & me dont mix well..) :P :)

the concert was fantastic, but i couldnt help feel a little dissapointed that it seemed to end rather suddenly / abruptly..
it just seemed to go too quickly, all of a sudden they stopped playing, the lights came on & the doors opened & everyone was gone in a flash, bit of an inticlimax finish, & the fact that the band didnt stick around after to say hello to the fans was a little sad.

i noticed at the beginning of the concert when the huge delay was, that evan was sitting along side the stage in the dark area & that skolds wife wasnt about this time.
Evan was bitching at one of the security guys at one stage & they were both pointing at their wrists / watches & shrugging and shit.

i tried to nick off to squeeze in a quick toilet break just before the concert started & just as i was bout to hit the toilet door, the crowd roared & i saw ginger enter the stage first & from my side, so i kinda ofcourse put a hold on the toilet break :P :)

i was at skolds side of the stage again & up pretty close, & while i was probably imagining it, i think he noticed me again.
i could see him even when he went over into the dark to the side between songs & he was whiping/patting his brow with a towel & drinking alot of water.
was absolutely exausted at the end of the show & had to be escorted of the stage by some guys helping to hold him up, like the way manson usually would, at least in the old days.

evan was totally checking out skold too :P like no kidding, she was smiling & looking him up a down. :P

manson did a fantastic job, & managed to sound really great the whole time, as well as actually do a fair bit of moving around.

someone threw a tshirt up on stage & manson put it down his pants & rubbed it about & threw it back.

antichrist superstar was just so totally beyond fucking awesome as usual :) mansons performance was stunning & im very greatfull that i got to see this song again in perticular.

i couldnt see chris from where i was, like AT ALL, but i did see his shadow casting on the video screen, which i actually didnt mind too much anyhow, because i really dont like / dont care for chris to be honest.

& i didnt see much of rob either, but i did notice he has cut his long hair off, & sadly looks rather plain/boring with short hair now :(

it was great that noone got pissed off in the end thoug htoo, i was kindof expecting manson to be cut up because of the delay at the beggining.

i will probably post more soon, but i really need to shower & eat :P
& i will have some photos up soonish hopefully also.

I was the dude in the singlet t with hair to my ears fairy thin and with red eyeshadow. I was shouting lyrics, yelling out to skold that I loved him lol and yelling out "water please" after nearly every song near the last half of the show :P I also happened to be taking some pics of skold with my camera phone and after he did his solo he stood still for me:P but by then my camera was already full :P

I was also telling random people it was my first mosh and my first manson concert even though I've been listening to him since 97/98

i had stupidly smeared red lipstick on (like a cross between skolds & manson from lunchbox :P, kinda accidently, cos i was in a rush) & thick black eyliner under one eye & thin under the other, with the blonde mohawk..

i was downstairs in the drinking area for quite a bit before the show, trying to finish 4 beers & a bourbon asap :P (i brought all at once)

lol thats awesome guys, its a shame i didnt end up meeting any of you in the end, (but in a way im glad you didnt see me, cos i looked like shit as i mentioned in a previous post), but thanks for thinking of me & im glad you enjoyed the show, as did i :)

they were pretty young & wore like the angsty all black clothes & kinda funny clown / crow inspired makeup, & i wouldnt be surprised if they seriously thought skold was john5.. like as in, i think they might have thought john 5 was still in the band, & was skold.. if that makes sense...
