My opinion:
-The drums was great
-I don't like Skold on guitar (the solo during Sweet dreams was worse than the Mark's one. It's more like the album version that the one played by John5)
-Vrenna did a couple of mistakes during tainted love but he's not bad
-Manson voice is good: he doesn't scream like the AAg tour
-Manson talked to the crowd just a couple of times
-The stage was like the one in Holland
-Manson didn't change his dresses, except for one of the new songs, when he was dressed like he was during 'The Nobodies on the AAG American Tour' or 'The speed of pain' ,if you prefer
-There were white 'corianders' in the last part of 'The beautiful people' and at the beginning of 'Rock is dead' and maybe also during 'The Nobodies' but I don't remember
-During every songs there was something different in the big screen behind the stage: I can remember the moon tourning in a big clock during 'If I was your vampire', a graveyard during 'Disposable Teens', the new MM logo coming down like blood in 'Sweet dreams'(but I'm not sure if is the correct song), the universe with stars and plannets during 'GBWW', the bourned american flag in 'The fight song' and many other pictures(that now I don't remember).

He's not so bad....he's just particular. The solo in the new songs seems good, but the one in 'Irresonsible hate anthem' ,'Sweet dreams', and also 'The fight song' is completely different from the John5's one. This is normal because everybody has a personal style, but i didn't like him

Now, see Tim Skold... he is using the same fucking distortion of Mark Chausse!. Man, if you heard the guitar solos from Eat Me, Drink Me you can't believe that is the same guy that play on the shows. It's weird õ.o

People need to stop bitching and complaining if you are here in the US. Setlists always, and I mean always differ, except for AAG, from tour to tour. Example . . .
Mechanical Animals Promo - User Friendly and Posthuman were played, but were taken out for the Rock Is Dead Tour.
Guns God and Government - No Antichrist Superstar on the US tour, BUT it was played during Ozzfest, and no Valentine's Day for Ozzfest, BUT it was played during the American tour.

Maybe it will change once they actually learn the current songs. At the moment they arn't even performing them properly.

I had high hopes for this tour. The stage show seems to be interesting enough but otherwise bad reports. No ones bitched about Rob apart from a lack of makeup (which is pathetic) so thats great news.

Manson and C. take care of voice and sounds, but he change is way to stay on stage, he is less spectacular than before, maybe he grow up (as artist).
I'm only a little sad about some songs that they didn't play, such as Tourniquet, Lunchbox, Get your Gunn, Reflecting God, that are probably the most appreciated by fans.
But I'm really happy! now I look for next show im Milan :0)
I hope there will be a Live cd because really its sounds good!

As far as a shit setlist goes, perhaps it's him punishing you all for stealing the album almost a month before it was released? And if I count right, he played 5 or so songs off the new album... THATS HALF THE ALBUM, what? you want him to play the whole thing?

I'm not surprised there's fuckups. Tim (as with most of them) have proberbly herd all the songs, but apart from Manson and Ginger, non of them have ever played them. Tim has never played these songs on guitar live, rob has never played ANY of it before now most likely and so on.

Give them time to break it all in a bit. He's proberbly still busy with promoting, interviews, talk shows and appearances before the release of the album so no wonder these shows are shit.

Having made us wait 30 minutes past the official start time MM took too the stage in Milan last night looking darker than ever. The start of the show began with usual classical/dark sounds prior to Manson bursting onto stage straight into "If I Was Your Vampire". To say Manson looked at home again on the stage would be an understatement and he even admitted (later in the show) that it felt like 70 years since he last played live.

"Vampire" was quickly followed by 'Disposable Teens' & then another new song "You & Me & The Devil Makes 3". I know Manson always gives it 100% but I have to say that he really did seem to to be feeling some kind of release when singing the lyrics to these new songs. Without wishing to sound to mellow dramatic it felt very real in that he meant every word of what he was saying. With the new album reportedly being a little slower than Manson's usual work I think you realy need to see him perform these songs live to get the feeling of where he is coming from.

Irresponsible Hate Anthem, Beautiful People, Don't Like The Drugs, Fight Song, Sweet Dreams & Tainted Love all followed to the masses in Milan who clearly enjoyed some of the older songs. 2 more new songs followed including one with an awesome guitar solo which would have not been miss placed in any good Metallica song. (you'll understand when you here it). This list of songs is not exhaustable so you will have to forgive me if I've forgot a couple he performed.

I only caught 'Nobodies' in the encore as I had to run for the last train back to Genoa but I can promise anyone that has tickets for future dates MANSON IS WELL AND TRULY BACK TO HIS BEST!!

i think he played it just fine... it's not exactly a hard song to play, you don't need to be john 5 to play that the right way.

manson's vocals, on the other hand... dreadful. i don't expect him to be a great singer, he's not gonna pull a freddie mercury all of a sudden, but he could at least sing the songs somewhere near the right notes.

I agree that the sound of the guitar was not good (especially for "the dope show"), but I can't judge him because I have just seen a video. maybe it's just the bad sound of the camera.

And even if he were not great (wait, that 's not possible, Tim is always great !), don't blame him too much. it was his first shows playing guitar with MM, I'm sure that he was really nervous.

"To me, Manson as an artist is dying. I didn’t have high expectations about this concert, but after last night, I can confirm it. He didn’t completely lose his talents, nor did he surrender to the media and became a “public possession”, but I think certain songs are lacking extravagances. I had gone to a Manson concert before, unfortunately it wasn’t during one of his best eras, it was on the GAOG tour, and I noticed that it already wasn’t as good as before; but if I had to compare it to what I saw last night, that is, a band that completely STOOD STILL. (John 5’s and Twiggy’s absence is horrible)

Manson lost his stage presence, even him being as tall as he is (naturally, his high heels help that). He isn’t that “king” anymore, that attracted everyone’s attention to himself. Honestly last night I admired Skold more than anyone else. I admit that I NEVER liked Skold, but after seeing him playing the guitar, I changed my mind a little. I think he’s a great guitarist. He played ALL solos without missing a note, I was impressed. I miss Pogo on stage. Chris Vrenna may be good on the keyboards, but he’s another one that stays hidden in the shadows and you barely notice he’s there. Maybe that was on purpose, maybe Manson wanted to obscure him. But it’s like changing from water to wine, Pogo was extremely present, the new one is simply part of the shadows. The bassist was good too, but he isn’t present either. At the end, Fish served his duty well, and he was only visible because he was on a high plataform. I’d like to have seen him better, because I’m a drummer and I like his style, but it was a little impossible.

To sum it up, I think going to a Manson concert can be worth it, if someday he goes back to making an spectacle, which is what we were used to see from him. And I came to the conclusion, that if Manson in the future returns here, and he isn’t back to being the good and old Manson of at least 7 years ago, I won’t be going to his show, it’s not worth it to me."

About specific songs, he commented that You And Me And The Devil Makes 3 wasn't anything special; Sweet Dreams was good; in a negative ton he won't pronouce himself about Just A Car Crash Away; Putting Holes In Happiness was -_- ; Great Big White World was amazing; Heart-Shaped Glasses was better than on the album; The Dope Show and The Fight Song were great; Tainted Love was simply "UGH!"; and The Beautiful People and The Nobodies were awesome.

He brought his shit together for the U.S. though and put on some amazing shows.

Also, Manson's voice didn't seem too bad to me. Bass player was OK, Ginger was A-MA-ZING, he bashed firmly, hard and nice, sometimes with only feet and left hand (even while a roadie was screwing shit around his bass drums' hardware).
Skold was good for, let's say, stroke the strings, but sound wasn't.. "satisfacting". Bad distortion used in bad ways. Take a little more care of your SOUND next time, Tim !

Bad thing (but could be normal, It was my first serious gig) TOO MANY ROADIES hurrying here and there re-pulling up mic stand every fckn minute during a song !!!
