Hear them both live from 1pm - 4pm on Saturday 9th June.

I would have liked to have heard one or two different songs, but im just pleased I saw him. He sounded great and did really well, infact the whole band did a great show.
They had the back screen on, but because it was light you couldnt really see what was on it.
I had a tshirt on with the Mansonusa logo and url on the back and this guy shouted, HEY ITS SOME HEIROPHANT CREW! lol, he says hes a member but cant remember who, he was also a little drunk aswell.
My sister had a Manson flag and was waving that around all the time, but she backed off After mobscene, but I was like Im staying, and it was fucking awsome.
EDIT:
He didnt have any props on stage, He had some cool Jackets and Hats, and paper exploding into the crowd, Red for ROCK IS DEAD and White for the End of the show.

TO ANYONE WHO WENT TO DOWNLOAD:
Did you see the massive bottle fight after Manson, It was on the hill about 20 mins after. I went and got some food, came back and like 2 people was throwing bottles, its escalted into a large section of the hill joining in. I ofcourse threw a bottle half full and it leaked out over people :) I have some video of that I think and some photos.

im editing now, its not the best because its off my digi camera, but they should be watchable. Also if to many hands got in the way (mine included LOL) I switched and filmed the screen with manson on it. So thats why it will switch sometimes. :)

It was a Festival though, so he only had his set time. It didnt feel like he sang what he did, the time just went so fast. I got a foot in my head from a crowd surfer, it was so fun.

By the video. I worded it badly. I haven't seen Skold playing TBP yet. I was saying that he did a pretty good job with IHA in the video D0k posted. The guitar hits you in the face like a brick, as it should be.
Though everything else sounded amazing with him, for that song and The Beautiful People John 5 never had any punch in his guitar for some reason. Skold makes at least IHA sound great again apparently.
It doesn't beat IHA with Daisy in the Smells Like Children tour though. :)

Varied by the songs in the main. Sweet Dreams, Tainted Love, mObscene and The Beautiful People got the best response, whereas most of the new songs (with the exception of HSG) and Rock Is Dead seemed to leave them pretty cold.

Indeed, Timmmay got a little ahead of himself...s'alright though, bound to happen from to time, he's doing an excellent job. I'd much rather the mistakes come from the new band, who are putting everything they have into these shows and doing a phenomenal job, rather than Manson who still seems like he is drinking too much before/during the performances. THAT is not fucking cool at all, and pisses me off to high hell when I hear the occasional resurgence of the drunken, AAG-ish nasally wail. God, I was hoping everything associated with that nearly suicidal tour would be vanquished to a painful memory, but alas there are still some warts on the hide.

Did you see the massive bottle fight after Manson, It was on the hill about 20 mins after. I went and got some food, came back and like 2 people was throwing bottles, its escalted into a large section of the hill joining in. I ofcourse threw a bottle half full and it leaked out over people :) I have some video of that I think and some photos.
I was sitting in the middle of that with a bag over my fucking head. I was there with my friend and this huge bottle fight erupted around us and we just sat there. Haha. We didn't want to join in and were scared to move incase we got thwacked one.
Your pictures of Manson look to be in roughly the same place as I was.

I saw someone on the shuttle bus to Derby station that had apparently acquired his black eye from Ginger throwing his drumsticks into the crowd. I didn't actually hear the "victim" utter a word in the queue or on the bus, but one of the friends he was with was very vocal about it and shared the story with a few people in that time period.
I took photos but I wasn't as near to the front as I would have liked (around a group of people that didn't seem to recognise anything other than mOBSCENE, Tainted Love, Sweet Dreams and The Beautiful People) and the zoom on the camera I was using isn't that great, so unsurprisingly they're nothing amazing. I'll upload them when I can stop being a lazy sod.

On Rock is dead at the start he had a mic problem, he was singing but no sound for the first few lyrics, but then he faded in. It wasnt anything major.

Manson is in the Daily Star today UK, its got a big picture of him on the download festival page, and says his security guard pulled the handle of his tour bus, and also says he raised eyebrows for requesting 50 black hand towels for his dressing room.
all I can says is LOL wheather its true or not.

Tim could have done a better job, he seemed to be playing it on a lower tone at some parts, although I don't really know that much about tones/notes/octaves, etc...
Anyway, the song sounds great live! Probably Manson's most record-faithfull live version of a single.

I'm glad that it sounds a bit different. Stops it from being completely boring. Or else you may as well stay home and listen to the bloody CD.
Rob's wee bass solo got me pretty flustered.

I have always liked to hear live performances and how it does sound different to the album. Rob and Skold, fuck it the whole band did well.

i loved how rob's bass sounded like shit on that part... for some reason it made it cool... well, for a live thing, of course.
this is the third tour that i keep saying this, but skold should sing more backup... it would totally give the band a more rock & roll live feel... i mean, manson's always done backing vocals on records, why not do some of those live?

Totally off topic here, but what is up with Tim's skirt?
Don't get me wrong. I love to see a man in a skirt, but this empire-waisted, quilted, bedspread looking thing looks like something my grandmother would wear. Minus the zippers. And probably not black. I've never been one to criticize his attire because his stage clothes have always looked great, but this one's not at all flattering. While I do appreciate the length, it would look so much better shorter, riding his natural waistline.
It'll pushing 100 degrees in Atlanta in July. Maybe he'll trade it in for some spanky shorts. ; ) [/fangirling] Carry on then.

I pushed my way forward after slayer, it was a bit of a mission but it was well worth it, my ribs are bruised now tho, they hurt like hell. Below are the best of the bunch of pics.

I'm a little confused, so have they/are they going to play the gig on the radio like last download he went to?
Glad people enjoyed my photos.
And i found out that weekend from a reliable source manson will be returning to Europe at the end of the year after he has done his American/Slayer tour, and then gone to Asia to do some shows.
Hope this pleases the people that missed download, I well excited to see him out of the festival situation for once, it's been ages.

I was at Download for the whole weekend, Manson was the highlight of my weekend he was fucking awesome.
Anybody watch the main screen when they showed Ginger Fish? At one time he put one of his drum sticks down and picked up a can of coke and started drinking it while still drumming with the other hand.
The crowd cheered when that was shown, Ginger Fish does some pretty funny stuff on stage.

After your second batch of pics, Rx, I must say I stand corrected. Skold's skirt is rather flattering and not grandma-ish at all. Must've just been the angle of all the other pics I've seen.
