The Krizanke complex in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, was a church and a monastery from 1228 to 1945 and then in 1950's the courtyard was converted into an idyllic open-air theater by the Slovenian most famous architect, Joze Plecnik. It's a small place (it can hold around 1500 people, but sometimes 2500 can squeeze in, for example when the Pixies preformed here in June 2004), but nevertheless probably the best place for concerts in Slovenia.
I remember when the Pixies played, there was much talk about the irony of Frank Black singing about incest, preachers molesting him, etc. in a monastery, but now Marilyn Manson, the "Antichrist Superstar" himself is going to preform here! How cool is that?:D
I first started listening to Manson after my father saw him on MTV music awards playing Rock Is Dead and called me "look at this naked guy"...:)
Now I have all his albums and can't wait till June 20th, when I see him live for the first time.
Of course I bought the ticket already.:)

Well, here in Ljubljana, there are only 3 popular venues for such big concerts - the "Bezigrad" soccer stadium (max 30.000 people), a sports hall "Hala Tivoli" (max 8.000 people) and the Krizanke monastery (max 2.500 people)... They probably think that Manson wouldn't fill the sports hall, so they decided for the monastery. I'm not sure. You think Manson himself made the decision? Well, the monastery is much more intimate and everyone can see the stage and stuff, I love that place. Iron Maiden will play on the stadium, and they will probably fill it, because many people from Italy, Austria, Croatia will come, too. Rammstein filled the sports hall when they played... I personally think Manson would fill it, too, but the monastery is a much cooler venue, I'm happy that he's playing in a smaller place.:)

There will be no seats, I'm quite sure. That's for more serious concerts. There is a festival going on in Krizanke monastery, there are many concerts these days, for example on 18th and 19th Vaya Con Dios are playing, and then Manson the day after that.

I was struggling for 10 minutes with some 7-8 people for a drum stick, then we broke it in half and we kept struggling for those two halfs.:D My hand got very sweaty and in the end somebody pulled it out from my grip. But 2 minutes after that, the guys that were clearing the stage threw 2 more sticks and I caught this one and immediately hid it in my pants.:P
I met Red_Fox, she's a great girl, and she managed to sneak the camera inside!:) Sadly, the battery died 1 hour into the show, I'll let her talk about it when she gets home.

O man, it was great :) I just woke up. I came home at 8 am and had to watch the tape first. It's ok, but on some songs something is wrong with the speakers, the bass is too loud. As I said to LovE-RicH I have a 5 giga per month and I'm over 4 and a half, I'll put it on youtube, as much as I can.

Minor fuck-ups and all, that was seriously bad ass!! They totally just ripped that song a new asshole!!
I'm lovin' Vrenna on the keys...his new "uh-yeah, uh-yeah...uh-yeah, uh-yeah, uh-yeah" sound really works well (when it's on beat, that is), and Manson really recovers well after almost missing the final repitition of the main refrain. Plus, he sounds damned awesome screaming along with the chant-samples (especially right after his near-fuck-up).
This is really promising...I can't wait to see more from this show!!

Fuck...I just watched "You and Me and the Devil Makes Three" finally, and while it's an awesome performance (best I've heard yet), there doesn't seem to be any Manson mouths up on the screens mouthing the words...were they just off in the periphery somewhere out of frame, or were they gone altogether?

Everybody was kicking me, but I didn't care :-) I was so damn nervious about getting the camera inside, Love-Rich help me a lot there, he said just go in with your hands up like you have nothing to hide, and it worked :-)

Damn, that's even better than I thought...I feared it would be too big for discreet recording and sneaking in and such, but it looks pretty easily crotch-able, which, here in the States, is crucial (unfortunately).
Nice job getting it in, by the way...you just held it up in there air, totally uncovered? Damn..."what huge balls you have, Grandma!!"
And I figured there must've been some kind of rail or balcony ledge or something like that involved...good to know all those bootleg videos I've watched have taught me something over the years!!
Anyhow, that Canon mv900 pretty much has all the features I'm looking for...it's under 500 bucks, small, slim, has a flip-out viewscreen, ejectable tapes, widescreen dimensions, a great zoom lens, and -- most importantly, a "mic in" port.
Your video capture capabilities are already fabulous...I'd say the next step is to get a kick-ass mic to hook-up to that bad-boy.
I've been using the Sony ECM-MS907 mic, and you'd probably have no trouble with getting that in (it's pretty small), but I'm not sure it'll solve your bass-rumble issues. You were pretty far away and not really in the "sweet spot" of the speaker, and you were still pretty close to maxed-out in terms of audio clarity, so I'd say you might need to get some sort of volume attenuator to drop the mic input levels to something that won't overdrive your camera's internal preamp. Unless of course there's some sort of audio-reducer setting/function buried in its menu somewhere...might want to look into that if you're not sure.

Kinda screwy that there's a "mic in" port but no capability to mount one (not sure what the fuck Canon was thinkin' on that one), but that's pretty easy to rig-up on your own.
Also, aren't there different length tapes you can record to? Or different recording length settings for the camera? The picture's so good you could probably afford to lose a few frames-per-second and still have a decent picture and the whole show.
Wish I knew more about this shit, but I've never owned any really nice equipment, and whatever camcorder I buy will be the first owned by anyone in my family, so I'm trying to learn in a hurry before I buy into anything too serious...I kind of got fucked purchasing a Sony MiniDisc recorder that's pretty damned user-hostile.
Anyway, I hope you find some useful info in those links, too...it's a great fucking site (which I found too late last time I was buying).

I dunno what was going on with the speakers, and btw I have a hole for a mic, it says so in the manual, I have a yellow one to watch in on a tv, firewire and another one red, guess that's where the mic goes. I have this camera for 2 months, and I haven't really gotten into it yet, it my first camcorder. As I know the only tapes I bought are 60 minutes long, but I'm guessing there are also 90 minutes ones, and I just haven't seen them yet. And another question. Transferring minidv do dvd? I just tried winavi capture, seems decent. Sony vegas seems too hard to use.

Interesting to see Manson's metal mask from the "mOBSCENE" single peeking through the projected "sign," too. Guess he just can't get enough of his face up there on that screen, huh? I just wish he kept the mouth for "YaMatDM3," I'll be sad if that's gone for good.
Anyway (speaking of red-outlined orifices)...
Yeah, it's the red hole that takes the mic jack, and it always is. That's very handy to remember...I've flubbed many a recording by retardedly plugging my mic into the wrong goddamned hole. And I believe there are 80 minute tapes that are made for that model, too. Your best bet is ordering them online if you can't find them in a store anywhere...and there may even be 90 or 120 minute tapes, but I'm not certain. 80 minutes is plenty for most concerts (as long as you don't waste much tape before the first song), but it's worth finding longer if possible.
Like I said, I'm a video recorder n00b myself...so I can't really help you with the miniDV>DVD question, sorry. I will that, in my experience, any software Sony makes is typically the most user hostile and deliberately limited version of that application you could possibly use. Better off finding anything else to get the job done.
And, yeah, I can see Manson gesturing off to the soundboard guy beside Rob to have his in-ear vocal/monitor mix raised the whole time. But that's not responsible for the "crunchiness" of the sound in the video files...trust me, you need a better mic and/or a peak reducer/volume attenuator (same thing) to correct that. If you were much closer or if the show was much louder, you'd hardly be able to tell which song you're hearing them play when watching the video.

If you're trying to inquire as to whether or not he's just a bootlegger catchin' every big concert that he can, you're crazy.
If he was a "professional" bootlegger, he wouldn't be registered at a Manson fansite (correction...THE Manson fansite), with a Manson signature image, and giving his hard work away here for free. He'd be hoarding it and teasing us with glimpses so we'd buy his shit from the website he'd probably have a link to in his sig.
I'd say it's pretty plain that he's a Manson fan who realizes how special every show is and who felt like recording it for himself, his friends, and his fellow Manson fans throughout the world who couldn't be there.

Believers are especially upset by the concert being held in Krizanke, where in the past holy mass was held.

I'd recommend www.megaupload.com
Let's say the DVD is 2GB. Use WinRar on the DVD files and choose the "SPLIT" option to make multiple smaller files (megaupload allows max 500MB files, but you can make them even smaller if you have a slow upload rate and if you have problems with your connection, for example if it disconnects for no reason sometimes), and then upload them to megaupload.
How long does Megaupload store my files?
Your files will be stored forever as long as you are a premium member. If you are a registered user without premium status, your files will be stored until at least 90 days after their last download (you can manually restart that expiration period at any time in the file manager). A file that was uploaded anonymously (that is not owned by any Megaupload user) will be deleted no sooner than 21 days after the last time it was downloaded. - Register at megaupload for free and the files will be there for quite some time.
Then when people with a fast upload rate get the DVD, they can make a bittorrent and share it on torrentspy.com or something.

The DVD is 4 giga. I tried megaupload and it uploads too slow... for 100MB it takes me 2 hours. On MediaWire 1hour and a half. I will not upload the DVD cuz it would take me forever, I have ripped it and I'm uploading all day, since 8 am... it's 1 pm now and I'm on the 3rd part.

GUY: He never killed animals, that's just goissip. I'm from the younger generation and I've seen many of his newer concerts and there was never anything contraversial.
In some countries he's not allowed to preform.
He was supposed to preform here in Slovenia 5 years ago [on a festival with Papa Roach and others], but many religious people countered that with prayers and the concert was cancelled because not enough tickets were sold.
Believers are especially upset by the concert being held in Krizanke, where in the past holy mass was held.
