I'll be at the show.

Anyone have any idea when tickets go on sale? I know the Slayer fanclub lists the on-sale date as a week from now, but the event isn't listed on Ticketmaster yet. They're probably going to add it last minute, so I shouldn't be worried about anything, but I just wanted to check if anyone knew anything about tickets just in case.

DecayingSinner

By joining the Slayer online fanclub, silly.

Speaking of which, I'm actually, officially confirmed now.

Can't wait to see you guys and dolls there!! Plus, I was born in New Jersey and haven't been back there since.

The time has come!

:)

Incidentally, I'm in section 103 and Row R, which was the closest I could get.

Can anyone who's been there before tell me if that's really a seat, or if they just clear the One-Oh-Whatever section seats away to make a pit?

Regardless, I'm fucking there.

I've actually only ever seen one show at the Tweeter Center and there was a very small pit area... The rest was actual seating aside from the obvious grass area.

I wish he was coming to the Electric Factory again, which is clearly superior. WTF, Manson?

Regardless - Can't wait to hang out again, Hudzekiah! (Actually, we'll be hanging out in FL and Atlanta prior to Philly/NJ). Hah!

It tends to be the same as a normal sale. Somewhere around 4 or so.

That's what I figured ('bout the pit), I was just checking. So far, with the presales, I've gotten six tickets, and only two have been reserved seating...all the rest are general admission pit tix. Not too shabby, actually.

(I'll still upgrade if I get the chance, though.)

Anyway, it's gonna be great, great fun being able to hang out with you again so soon after our first meet-up. Hopefully Mr. Insanity will be able to make it out to Jersey, too! Hell, I only ended up gettin' a ticket 'cause I thought the show was gonna be in his home state. It's my turn to take a swing, damnit!! Oh, well, at least I get to to have a drinking contest with filly, for sure. That should be a night to remember (if I don't black out, that is)!!

I can't wait to get on the goddamned road!!!

You just need the password you don't need to sign up. I just got a pit ticket so they are still out there. Sorry about that.

Yeah, I don't really understand why it's impossible to just "sticky" each tour date in its proper order in relation to the rest...but then I'm not a web designer. Still, I see the same fucking stickied items at the top of each forum, in the same order, day after day. So um, yeah. This shit should be in order. Argh. Whatever.

Call them the day of and see what they say. That's your best bet. ((856) 365-1300 ext. 724 and/or ext. 725)

It usually depends on the bands if it's okay. So I'm not sure. They say no professional cameras so a normal camera should be fine but they say "Items listed are subject to change or vary at time of show". That's from http://www.livenation.com.

Dumb question, but why do you all get there so early. Is is just to get up front in the pit?

I really hadn't planned on going early because I don't want to see Slayer at all, I have pit tickets. Is it dumb to wait until 8:30 or 9 to go?

Yes, waiting is the worst thing you'll ever do in your life. You'll eventually spiral downwards because of your decision, and ultimately blow your head off.

I talked to a friend that saw MM at the Tweeter years ago and he seemed to think it got so packed that you were up against a fence. I think he was trying to make me nervous cause I never go to shows. I hope that the pit isn't 800 people piled on top of one another. I'm taking my younger brother and his girlfriend and I don't want them too bruised up.

Try to stay out of the pit as much as possible. You don't want to be in front row THAT bad, do you? Because if that's the case, I'd reccomend not going near the pit, mmkay?

Are You The Rabbit?
Sweet Dreams/Lunchbox
Just A Car Crash Away
Heart-Shaped Glasses

The show was FUCKING AMAZING tonight.. just fucking awesome.
This was my 23rd time seeing Manson and I left satisfied...again.

The place was packed for Manson, and it felt more like a Manson crowd with the people up in the pit. Good energy up there.

The band sounded tight and Manson's voice was fine.

Set was the same as the last few shows.

Highlights for me:

"If I Was Your Vampire" was a great opener with the moon rising in the back. I was unsure how it would come across live and as the first song.. but it ruled.

I can't even explain how awesome "Are You The Rabbit?" sounds live...holy shit, it was intense.. the oversized chair prop fit the song nicely.

"Heart Shaped Glasses" was great, with the heart shaped confetti blasting into the air.

"The Love Song" was great, as always. Manson on the riser, the programmed "yeahs" were so loud that it sounded like an army chanting it.
Everyone had their hands in the air for it.

"ACSS" was def the fucking icing on the cake...when I saw them bring the podium out, I almost lost it..it was just mind blowing.

"The Beautiful People" yes , yes this song is played out and I could care less if they even played it, but it brought the fucking house down.
Love the confetti at the end.

Great fucking show!!!!!!!!

I just got back as well. This was my 19th Manson show. First off, I was really tired of Slayer and their fans by the end of their set.

The intro for Manson was beautiful and IIWYV was great. I really liked the moon background and then the clock as the hands move faster and faster.

Disposable Teens kicked in and I was ready to rock out. It was good and the crowd was really into the "yeah" parts.

Mobscene was good, heavy, and angry. By this point though, I was really sick of seeing manson kneeling on the stage. Every song seemed to have him starting with his jacket on, only to be taken off after the first chorus.

Are You the Rabbit? fucking awesome. My favorite part of the show. I loved the Alice in Wonderland clips that were played. It made a children's movie sound so sadistic. It was just great and awesome to see Tim play the solo at the end. And the big chair...Manson owned it.

Sweet Dream/Lunchbox- The crowd seemed to really like it. It was..well sweet dreams. The lunchbox part was a real pleaser but it sounded like something was wrong with Tim's guitar?? maybe it was just me.

Just a car crash away- I wasn't too thrilled with the song originally and was wondering how it would be pulled off live. God damn! I was quite impressed. It was really good, Tim played awesome, manson put so much emotion into it. Evan was on the side, whoever didn't notice- seemed like she should have been standing next to Tim.

Heart Shaped Glasses- the confetti is a nice touch. Ginger was playing flawlessly and I just couldn't help but watch him during this song.

Rock is dead- lots of fun

Dope show- same old

Putting Holes in Happiness- I love this song and Tim executed the solo excellently.

The Fight song- i thought the whole boxing thing was a bit embarassing for him.

The love song- fucking awesome. The rise worked well with the fog, but once it stopped it was a little strange looking. Did he mess up the second chorus? I think he said a fuck yea too early. But anyways, this reminded me of the holy wood days with all the words in the background.

ACSS- always enjoy this live, even though it's the version for the AAG tour. Love the way he was flailing and hanging all over the podium

TBP- I like the streamers at the end.

Overall good show. Not the best one i've been too, but it's Manson. I always look forward to Manson shows.

My brother took a lot of photos and he will send them to me and I'll post them as soon as I get them.

I just got back as well, and since theres already two reviews I wont go too far into details, but Manson kicked ass, ACSS was my favorite, everyone was so into it, and Manson just did a kickass job, slayer kinda bored me, i ended up just sitting through their set, it would help if i could understand what the hell he was saying/screaming. And the slayer fans were obnoxious assholes who couldent stop yelling... 'Slayer!'.... and the manson fans were timid assholes who wouldent stand up for manson when the slayer fans ran by bashing him (my friends and I stood up and yelled back, but everyone else suddenly turned deaf) definetly the best rock show I've ever been too, cant wait to see him again

The Fight song- i thought the whole boxing thing was a bit embarassing for him.

I was about to mention that too... I thought it might be cooler live than the pix I've seen of it, but nah..it was kinda silly.
Though it was cool that the boxing gloves had Marilyn on one hand and Manson on the other..that was the best thing I can pull from it.

I was also not into Slayer's set, just sounded like the same song over and over, and I know most of their shit.
I couldn't wait for it to end... and their fans are the worst.
What's with the need to yell SLAYER every fucking second?

I still think it's a horrible tour combo, but at least it wasn't the nightmare I thought it was going to be.

I just got home an hour or so ago. I spent the night at a friend's house in Jersey. I'll have a review of the show and some pictures up in a few hours. Right now, all I'm gonna say is HOLY SHIT. All three bands' performances were fantastic. Hell of a show.

Already got some, from Manson himself. Quite good actually...Alex rocks!

http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/4500/mansintheyy7.jpg
That's right, mah man. \m/

You won't hear any new songs. Give up now. Manson doesn't care about anyone but himself. He just wants to get through the night, get his paycheck so he can buy chinese skeletons and make movies which will never get released. You know, just shut the fuck up. You're so goddamn annoying I just want to smack the shit out of you. Bitter fucking twat, get the fuck off this site with your whiny garbage. Nothing is ever good enough, is it? You're lucky I don't just ban you. In fact, I still might.

Having said that, the show was just amazing, and I had quite the experience afterward. :)

And goddamn I'm exhausted. 2 hours of sleep and I'm at work. Total suckage.

My only real problem with the Cleveland show was that Skold's guitar sounded really tinty and rusty. That problem was definitely fixed for the Philly show. Damn near perfect performance!

ok, the setlist was the same but the show was very high energy...i was so fucking lucky i got inside the pit first and dead center, i thought I wouldn't even make it to the rail 'coz i got there at 2:30pm, I was too tired to get there earlier, i needed to get good rest. Getting to philly got my balls sweating, i swear getting to that venue is fucking crazy, left at the ramp, then right, then left then right, then right...this and that...and people were on my ass so it was hard to follow the signs but i was only lost for a few minutes.

Bleeding Through were cool, the crowd weren't really into them except for a few guys in the pit who would start moshing ramdonly then stop....Slayer was ok, not a big fan but felt less boring than in MD.

I'm not going to say the crowd in Philly was non energetic but it was less than in MD, I remember people chanting Manson over and over, i tried to start some but noone followed, felt kinda lame, haha...the show was fucking great, manson was so fucking close. Did you guys see manson pull out a bible during ACSS that lit on fire? that was cool...Overall great show....i saw Haz & Mr. Insanity when driving home but sorry I didn't stop I was thirsty as fuck and needed to get some cold water. Here's some video I took at the show. I was on the rail, Tim's side. I recorded all of Are You the Rabbit, and the guitar solos for Just a Car Crash Away and Sweet Dreams. The audio quality isn't too bad (it's worse for Are You the Rabbit than it is for the other two videos) and the video quality was great until YouTube fucked it up.

Awesome pics and video, thanks for letting me re experience the show again! I was also at the show last night sec 100 row E seat 11, Overall my review if anyone cares is Manson was great, butttt! I stayed at my seat through the whole slayer set and to tell you the truth I wasn't impressed with them or their ASSHOLE fans, when I was in school back in the day their music sort put fear into me, but seeing them last night, it just sounded like one long song! Their fans were super obnoxious, yelling out slayer, slayer during Manson's set, No fuckin respect! I stayed for their damn slayer set and wasn't yelling out Manson,Manson. When the show was over, me and my girl were walking out and some idiot slayer fan was standing at the doorway going up to people saying "did you come to see that faggot Manson? slayer, slayer" "Manson sucks" Its like why did you even stay? These fuckhead slayer fans pretty much ruined my time. I really hope Manson comes back by himself and plays the Tower or Electric Factory without slayer, slayer. and one more thing, the Manson merchandise they were selling was pretty crappy, what ever happened to the tshirts with the cool slogans on them, I couldn't find a shirt to buy last night, Don't get me wrong guys I love Manson but I felt like we were there to see a slayer show and Manson was the opening act that blew away the headliner, the fans were fucking losers.

DecayingSinner
08-03-2007, 07:41 PM
I also heard some anti-manson comments from slayer fans and had to bite my lip. It was quite evident who was a slayer fan and who was a manson fan. My brother and I had slayer fans on both side of us. I tried to enjoy their set, but these guys ruined it and we left our seats and chilled in the lawn. Thank god by the time manson came on we had our seats to ourselves. I was suprised how empty the lawn was though. The electric factory is ideal for manson to perform at.

I saw plenty of drunk asshole Slayer fans at the show, too, but there was one Slayer fan there that totally made up for it.

There was this guy I befriended at the show, he introduced himself as Slayer Dude. Last night was his 26th Slayer show. He was the coolest person that I've ever met at a concert. He was extremely friendly, handed out free Slayer stickers, and in between the bands' sets he'd go and get drinks for everyone around him in the pit, paying for it with his own cash. The security guys loved him. He made this big banner for Jeff Hanneman, his favorite member of Slayer, it was pretty cool. Halfway through Slayer's set he went crowd surfing and was eventually pulled out of the pit, but somehow he managed to make it right back up to the rail where he was before, next to me. After Slayer played I talked to him a bit about Manson.

He wasn't a big fan of Manson, but he never once trashed talked the band. He actually told me he really enjoyed Manson's stage show. Then he asked who Manson's guitarist with the crazy hair was, and said Tim Skold, and mentioned that Tim was my favorite member of the band. Then during Manson's set, whenever Tim would fire up a guitar solo, Slayer Dude would give me a high five. I thought it was pretty fucking cool.

After the show he gave me his email address and asked me to send him some pictures of the show, which I did. I wish I would've gotten my picture taken with him, what a kickass guy.

This may be stretching it, but could this new prop be yet another (subtle) reference to Bowie? On the Diamond Dogs tour, he wore boxing gloves while singing Panic In Detroit. Later he used the boxing motiv again for the Let's Dance album. Manson said that for this tour he hired the guy who designed Bowie's Diamond Dogs tour. So can that count as another reference towards our favorite alien rocker?

Hey, 13thSinner, if I remember correctly before the show you posted and said you'd be in a Slipknot shirt. I was there with three friends, we were on the rail, Tim's side. Judging from the pictures, you were around the same area. We were standing next to a guy in a Slipknot shirt who was a with a girl. Was that you? I was the girl with curly hair in a Chili Peppers shirt.

I was in a Slipknot shirt and in front of Tim but I was alone. I think I remember seeing someone in a Chili Peppers shirt...

Mr. Insanity, stables of midgets giving blowjobs? That would have to be my "happy place."

They allowed cameras in, unless they were professional cameras. A lot of people had cameras at the show.

What's up with those shoulderpads? They look cool and all but they look more MA than Eat Me, Drink Me.

The Tweeter allows them as long as they are not professional (they say they can't have a removable lens) but I always call ahead. It can change by what the band(s) want or don't want too.
