Thanks. I used the password and got myself 2 pit tickets. I didn't choose best available. I chose Level 100 - General Admission Standing. It's strange that there's an option for lawn seats when I thought it was said that they weren't selling any. Oh well, I got mine so I'm happy. $150 for 2 tickets though, that's insane.

Lawn tickets are listed on Ticketmaster's site now for only $20.00 before service fee shit. So I'll be there, so far by myself unless I can pull anyone in.

The lawn really isn't that bad, it's pretty much the equivalent of sitting in the 100 levels at the Air Canada Centre. You're free to move around and do whatever the fuck you want. I doubt I'd be restricted to the lawns either by the time Manson starts playing, but I don't care much anyways if that's the case.

If you are going with a female, between or underneath of her breasts, depending on the size of the camera and tits. If you are by yourself, tape it as close as you can to your nuts, and after going past security go to the bathroom to remove it. Regardless, I wouldn't bring a expensive camera in, if you get caught with it they usually confiscate it and throw it out or destroy it, depending on the mood of the security guard. If you get caught taking pics while the show is going on, Security has the right to kick you out of the building as well as taking your camera away, so my advice is to be careful. Unless it is a video camera, it is not worth risking a good time.

I've gone to a concert within this venue before.

They don't allow any liquids upon entering and you get patted-down. Also, since the venue has isles and floor levels like a stadium/arena, security guards are based there.

Now, for the reason for this post; security will most likely do nothing if you are casually taking pictures/video (minute or so). They will however investigate if you are "bootlegging" (filming/recording the entire or a large part of the live).

Theres not much to worry about if you're planning on doing the first. When the venue is engulfed in darkness, you'll see hundreds of cameras and cellphones recording.

RAWWRR, i gots pit tickets too.

what im thinking about with the camera is this.

my camera has a belt case with it. I can put it anywhere on my belt. so what if i put the camera case in the middle of my back area on the belt. I dont think they should frisk there, or maybe they would.

I could roll it up in a sock and put it in my shoe = )

They use a stick to search your whole back and front area, and sometimes they pat you down, but the only place they cannot pat down is between the thighs. So when they see the lump on your back they are going to pat you there regardless. In your shoe(boot) might work.

I did this too. I got the presale tickets, and chose best available and got 200's. When I went back to ticket master just out of curiousity and clicked on 100's and saw pit tickets were available I was so pissed off. Luckily I got someone to buy my two seat tickets, and I got two pit tickets just before they sold out.

I hate ticketmaster! You would think "Best Available" would mean
"Best Available OUT OF ALL TICKETS NO?" Not to mention the horrible
service charges and all there fee's on top of the ticket price!

But I guess what can you do right?. I love manson and would pay anything to see him. This will be my 5th time seeing him. I cant wait!!

I haven't been to a concert at this venue before and was just wondering how the seating is here? if you're allowed to move to the isles or from your seat during the show. Also, to be more specific, how the view is from the 301 (row D) section seats? behind the wheel chair area.. I'm a pretty short guy (not terribly short.. maybe pushin 5"9 or 5"10 with the right shoes lol ) and hope to have a fairly decent view and not be terribly far back. Any info would be nice, don't wanna get my hopes up too much before the show.

You might have more trouble with that, but I honestly don't know. Don't bring a water bottle or any food or drink, they will throw it out. They confiscate actual cameras, unless you're a very talented smuggler... I always get my purse in, but they search it, and I usually bring a small purse to concerts. Copps wasn't letting backpacks in. You might have to just wear whatever you buy and carry the posters. It'll save you grief in the long run.

That bag should be fine. I don't see any problems with it.
It's not like you're smuggling in a glock or a bottle of water. People, especially people sitting out on the lawns, bring bags in all the time. It'll be searched, just don't be carrying a gun or food on you and security won't lose their shit.

And honestly, why wouldn't you all be allowed to bring in cellphones? If a venue tried confiscating people's cellphones it would result in far too many problems that the venue would become reliable for. It's not reasonable for them to even try and confiscate 4,000+ cellphones a night for each show they hold. Unless you're blatantly holding your cellphone to the sky for 70 minutes with the screen on, nobody's going to do anything. At worst, security would ask you to turn it off unless Manson can peg you with something first. He has a pretty good arm too...

Security is tight, but it's also pretty goddamn pathetic there. Just ask all the women who filed sexual harassment complaints at the White Stripes show. Just don't be an idiot and you can get away with anything.

I'm only going off of my personal experience last year at the Amphitheatre. Everything was fine when I went with a friend, unless the patdown lineup we were in was oblivious or retarded or both.

Yeah, when I was there it was clearly advertised no cameras were allowed and they did a bit of an agressive pat down, but once we were in there were lots of people openly taking pictures.

So I guess just be subtle getting it past security?

By law, the show has to be finished by 11 due to outdoor noise curfews. The Amphitheatre can get pretty crowded when exiting, but it all depends on how many people are there and how many people don't leave before or during Manson. It's not really so bad...

We'll probably disappear a little after the show but eventually we'll be back out and about.

I recognize a few names on this list and even a few faces. If I see you, I'll approach you, to at the very least chat it up a little bit.

I'll probably be wearing nothing special; black jeans with a brown shirt with a heart design on it which reads 'Regret Nothing'. Triquatra necklace and talisman, black/blue hair with a silver tuff, and black nail polish. Feel free to jab me if you see me :)

The usual setlist, except with BOTH The Reflecting God and The Love Song =D=D

Manson sounded GREAT, Antichrist Superstar was a highlight, he ad libbed a lot during Dope Show and didn't sing a lot of it, voice sounded GREAT. Audience really loved Are You the Rabbit? and Putting Holes In Happiness.

Well we left after ACSS to beat traffic, but we heard The Beautiful People going on when we were outside, so yeah, I think he added a song.

mOBSCENE was insanely good, he had that sleeveless shirt of his unbuttoned so he kinda looked similar to his outfit during GGG. Skold nailed all the solos, and Evan Rachel Popped out during HSG

When you say "popped out" do you mean she jumped on stage and was like "Omg, Manson! I'm on stage!! :D:D:D" and Manson was like "Hey, bitch, bend over or fuck off"? Or do you mean she popped up like "Hey, Maaaaaaaaaaaanson, looka me, Ima wearin mah hart shaped gwasses!!!!!!!!!!" while she's jumping up and down, and running around stage, kicking roadies?

I just got back. The show was fantastic! Even better then I expected based on all the previous videos of the tour. Funny during the Fight Song when the dangling mic stopped working (it sounded like crap anyway) and he flung it outward toward the crowd and had to dodge it when it swung back his way. lol During Heart Shaped Glasses, it has been mentioned that Evan Rachel Wood came out, but I didn't notice it. Must have been while I was brushing the airpit sweat off my face from the headbanging slayer fan next to me... or I might have been distracted trying to catch some of the heart shaped confetti fluttering over me...

Antichrist Superstar was really cool, everyone really loved it and went nuts. Same with Beautiful People, and Fight Song. My personal favourites were The Dope Show, If I was your Vampire, and Just a Car Crash Away. The ambulance sirens at the beginning of JACCA were cool. I'd list the songs but it's already been done.

Does anyone have any photos or videos?

Goddamn, that was a fucking amazing show. I don't recall a time where Manson sounded better. It was incredible. I was worried they were not gonna play The Reflecting God 'cause for some reason I thought before it appeared really early in the set, like 3rd song in. But, when it started I went crazy. I wanted to hear that song soo bad and I lost my voice half way through it. They played the full song which I was surprised by for some reason. I just can't get over how amazing Manson sounded. Evan was there at the side of the stage for most of the concert. When Manson said "who will I wake up with tomorrow?" during the Dope Show he pointed to her. I thought that was cute.

Great fucking show. It was amazing- the band brought their A game and sounded beautifully, and Mansons voice was close to perfect.

Bleeding through was actually really fucking good. The singer ran through the crowd and he was really good with the crowd.

Oh and one more thing-
Slayer Sucks. I mean really- they fucking suck. I couldnt understand a single word out of their mouth and all the beats sounded the same.

Just got back-great show! Slayer was pretty good. Kerry King is an awesome guitar player-anyway, Manson was on his A game tonight!!!
Setlist:

mObscene
Are U the Rabbit?
Sweet Dreams/Lunchbox
JACCA
The Reflecting God
Heart Shaped Glasses
Rock is Dead
Dope Show
Putting Holes in Happiness
The Fight Song
The Love Song
Antichrist Superstar
Beautiful People
Highlights of the show were; ACSS-This got the loudest ovation besides when the curtain dropped in the beginning
Rock is Dead-The crowed went nuts with this one (I really don't know why, it seems tired to me)
The Love Song-everybody was screaming the chorus-it was awesome!!!
Beautiful People-Manson went out into the barrier/pit area-everyone up front went nuts!!!
I think someone needs to tell Mr. Manson that the Fight Song boxing thing is really gay!!! I don't know a better way to put it-I think the mic went out because of how stupid the whole boxing ring theme is.
I have seen Manson on every tour he has done (yes, all the way back when they were opening for NIN to now) and his voice has NEVER sounded better!!!! The new stuff sounds really good live (I almost gave up on EMDM but PHIH was powerful live as well as HSG). That's it! I'm going to bed-MANSON RULES!!!!

I figured that I got my value out of the ticket just from seeing Slayer, but that was the Marilyn Manson show I've waited years to see. Especially after the last couple of tours I've been to. There were still some hit-or-miss moments, like Rock Is Dead and The Fight Song but overall the show was really strong.

The setlist did include both The Reflecting God and The Love Song, which the crowd response for was huge both times. The most beautiful part of the set came during Just A Car Crash Away. The way the smoke machines interacted with the fire tearing across the video screen was exquisite.

But one of the best moments of the night in general happened in the lawns during Slayer's set. About halfway through the set there was a sudden mass exodus over to the left side of the field that exploded into a circle pit. I don't mean, you know, 20 people trotting around like they're on a fucking free range farm, this was an entire section of the field. Security could only break it up after getting in there and moshing with drunk Slayer fans. It was everything a show like this could possibly amount to and it fucking ruled. Shortly after Slayer's set the beer taps were supposedly shut down for the night. Vengeance, even though that shit runs at more than $8 a can.

Damian
08-11-2007, 09:19 AM
Man, I'm glad to see the response from this show. I only hope Manson keeps the setlist as is through Denver next week. I think adding in the extra song was ace, as both TLS and TRG are strong live songs. Maybe it just took Manson a bit to get his voice and the band up to speed. It seems like all the kinks are worked out. Anyone capture any video of TRG from this show or the previous one?

me_andre
08-11-2007, 11:11 AM
There will be videos, just see who went to the show... Billie Jean:D No, I can't know that. But it would really rule.

I so fucking hope that Manson would take this tour to Norway, that would be fucking kill ah!

This tour seams to get better and better and I have heard rumors about Red Carpet Grave from a Manson interview somewhere. I even heard User friendly, but I don't know where. More sure on RCG.

Anyway, the shows seem to get more and more theatrical, light- eyemask thing for sweet dreams, lift for the love song, ACSS podium, physical crowd contact during the beautiful people, boxing stage during the fight song. And then you have the screen in the background which have atmosphere settings to almost all of the shows and the light shows and the confetti and the fucking smoke machines. Who said this was not as theatrical as the MA tour?

PlatinumOrgy

What an absolutely amazing show last night. Talk about bringing their A game... the videos I've seen on youtube do this tour no justice as far as I'm concerned. Manson seemed to be full of energy, the set-list was fucking fantastic, his voice was perfect, the band as a whole was just amazing. Having him play The Reflecting God was the highlight for me, what a GREAT show. My only complaint or disappointment in the show, which is extremely minimal, was that he didn't speak to us, just screamed TORONTO a few times, there was no crowd lead up to fight song, or mobscene, but thats about it. A fucking plus as far as my opinion of the show goes.

lunchbox1113
08-11-2007, 03:47 PM
Would you rather him talk to the crowd, or get another song the US peeps didn't get? -.-

STFU, betch.

Why lay off the STFU? They're bitching and moaning "Oh, mommy, Marilyn Manson didn't talk to us, waaaah. Can we got to McDonalds? I want a Waahburger and some french cries."

It's not my fault they're a sniffling, crying little bitch.

08-11-2007, 04:55 PM
Is it just me or did this show seem more comparable to an ACSS tour show? Rather than a comparison to the MA tour like Manson alluded to before. Makes me really wonder what songs they would play had they not toured with Slayer. Since originally the tour was to have lots of MA and HW songs. That was changed to ACSS songs and such. Though, it's not a complaint becuase the show was amazing. If there is a good bootleg of it, I will pay good money for it. Anything!

I did not tape the show, I apologize but I just don't have the gear for it, plus I ended up right against the front rail, and would have gotten caught for sure. I am not sure anyone will have video unfortunatly, security were quite tight.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT! :D That was the best fucking show of all time! I was at the very front the ENTIRE time, even through Slayer, which I somehow survived! During Slayer I was surrounded by like big burly scary bald slayer fans who kept hitting me and pushing me and trying to get me away from the front. I was like FUCK NAHHH BITCHESSS! I just kept thinking "I must see manson up-close". The entire Slayer show I just spent concentrating on staying upfront and clinging unto the railing for dear life. :D Thankfully it eventually ended and then when Manson came on, it was perfect from the beginning until end. I was completely blown away.

Highlights of my evening:

Touched him 3 times!

1) During Reflecting God, he was on the runway thing and kneeling. I was screaming out the words and reaching out for him and he looked RIGTH at me, right into my eyes and reached and grabbed my hand and I was like AHHHH!!!! *orgazm*

2) When he got off the stage and the crowd started attaching themselves to him and pulling him into the pit, before the security guards had a chance to pull him out I touched his face. XD

3) When he walked past us while he was still offstage, I touched his shoulder. :D

(I'm having the gloves I wore framed. :D)

Also I grabbed a bunch of hearts and streamers!

Other things that happened:

-The mic died during the fight song and he threw it towards the crowd and when it swung back he had to move his head so it didn't hit him. XD That was cute.

-Tim Skold looked SEXTACULAR. He curcied!!!! And then held his guitar above his head and gave this crazy wild smile! :D

-During one song, can't remember which, Manson got on his knees in front of Skold and put his mic where Skolds crotch was and then jerked the mic off! :D

-I think I saw ERW after one of the songs, I could see everything that was going on behind the screens he hid behind. He sat down and some blonde chick ran up to him to help him with something. I don't know if it was her though.

So yea, bloody amazing show. I don't think he was drunk at all. He sang every song perfectly and with such energy and power. :D I take back all the shit I've said before. I'll have no more neigh-saying in my presence!

Did anyone see me at the show? I had elbow-high pvc gloves on and my face was all glammed up and I was covered in gold glitter and everytime I headbanged it got everywhere and on everyone. :D

PS. The only shitty thing was that I didn't get to meet up with any Phants after the show...partially because I had to run and catch the last train and also because for some minutes after the show I was in such a blissfull state I didn't know where I was. But when we were walking out in the big crowd I screamed out "ARE THERE ANY PHANTS HERE?! MANSON USA?!" but no one answered. :(

Billie Jean, if only I knew you were at the front too! I would have tried to find you! <3

So yea, got there at 7am....left at 11:15pm....totally dehydrated, aching, no voice, yet in a blissfull state. It was all totally worth it and I'll never forget this experience. Can't wait until the next one. Hopefully it'll be sans-Slayer. >.> :D

EDIT:

OH! And I forgot to add, he spit on me and I spit back on him! :D

The show was near perfect. I've seen Manson ten times now, and that was by far my favorite in regards to how the band sounded. He nailed ACSS so well I couldn't believe what I was hearing, Manson for the first time in a long time has actually managed to shock me. The only thing I didn't like was "Just A Car Crash Away" but that's a personal gripe with the song, nothing to do with his performance.

The stage wet up was cool, but I still rank MA and HW higher...this is not to say I didn't enjoy the set up, but in my mind it's those two tours that stick out in the design department.

Man, I thought that was a pretty amazing show. Best one I've seen yet. I was just glad to hear The Reflecting God, that was a pleasant "surprise". But yeah, I was to the right of that small ramp in the middle. Probably about 2 feet away. I can't recall exactly. Funny story though, for some reason during Just a Car Crash Away, I almost lost my shoe. Of all songs that could've randomly been brutal for a split second, I didn't expect it to be that. But yeah, overall amazing show. Sorry I couldn't meet any of you, but it was quite a hectic night, getting lost in Toronto. And then to make things better, my friend passed out before Manson's set, and almost had to get carried off in an ambulance, but she snuck back in.

I know some people have been interested to know the songs which play before the Manson set starts, during the set up. For this show they played Patti Smith's Rock and Roll Nigger, and Bela Legosi's Dead by The Bauhaus. And I think there was one more, I can't remember..

^ they also played rage against the machine i think. it was an awesome show. i'd rather get an extra song, which seems to be "reflecting god" than a bit of talking. Atichrist Superstar was fucking awesome. from what i saw of it being performed on the greastest hits tour it seemed to be getting old and tired, but it fucking kicked ass last night.

They also played The Number of the Beast.
Great show! They had a freaky Asian boy doll in the passengers side of one of the trucks with a little hand that tapped against the window. Scared the shit out of me. Why does it have to be over? :(

Wow 3 Manson shows in 4 days... 20 hours of driving... 4 hours of moshing... not enough sleeping... got sick.... i'm really tired now.

I don't know how I did it...

For this show, as everyone said, the set was 1 song longer, which was pretty cool. I noticed a few costume changes that were different from the 2 other shows. He had this GAOG-style corset or whatever it's called that goes from below his nipples to his pants. It went over his pants, so when he tried to put his hands and touch his crotch, he wasn't able to, which was funny. Also he had another hat I think during JACCA.

The Slayer fans at that show were much worse than the 2 others... they all looked like trailer park scumbags, talked shit about Manson, some threw shit at him during the show (like bottles and such), some screamed 'slayer' during his set, and i saw 2 of them who started to fist fight in the pit...

I got hurt pretty badly in the pit and while crowd surfing, but at least Manson grabbed my hand, which was pretty cool. And at the end of the show, I got the setlist!

The night ended with some asshole security dude (from the venue) on a power trip telling us to fuck off, that we weren't allowed to wait near the buses... so I still didn't get to meet Manson. I was pretty pissed, 'cause usually the security at that venue is pretty nice, and I met a few bands there in the past (including Twiggy when NIN played there last year).

Anyways, it was a great week, lots of fun, and although I'm disappointed with most of Manson's work since 2002, and the setlist wasn't incredible, I'm still very happy and respect him a lot for still doing his thing.

from what i saw Manson got a really big response from the crowd, but when the show was over there were like 5 douche bags chanting "Slayer!".

i had an awesome time, the guy standing next to me smoked a joint with me and two hot chicks on my other side kept touching me for most of the show. i was so drunk and high i couldn't walk in a straight line leaving the ampitheater.

what was that audio clip that played between songs that was like "you have to jerk off so you don't rape people" or something like that. it certainly wasn't from alice and wonderland.

There was this party on the small dock near the bar inside the venue (not the one in the tree, the other one... don't know the name).. we just went there, some local cover band was playing, and Twiggy and Aaron North were hanging out. They weren't mean or anything, but they really seemed more interested in chatting with the big-titted chicks than actual fans lol...

I'm pretty sure it was an old video that was used in police training back in the 50's...If you've ever seen "Fear and Loathing in LasVegas" you'll know the clip, as it appears during the drug convention scene.

i found the audio clip, its: "his pants will be stained with semen from constantly jacking when he can't find a rape victim"

Well we left after ACSS to beat traffic, but we heard The Beautiful People going on when we were outside, so yeah, I think he added a song.

He actually techincally broke the law, and motherfucker was I glad. Halfway through Antichrist Superstar I was panicking thinking he wasn't going to do the Beautiful People. No way he'd have had time to make it before curfew. And especially after that microphone incident, I really thought he'd be fed up and cut the show short. It actually kind of wrecked my enjoyment of AS, which was easily the best song of the night. But then he obviously decided to play it anyhow, and I've never been so relieved.

I just wanna say that I had a blast at the show and after the show. Nicole you were an amazing hostess, and I enjoyed your company very, very much. It's too bad that no one else decided to join us, but our convo was great non-the-less, Thank you immensly. It was my pleasure! I had a great time. And thank you, since I was all by my lonesome until you showed up. I just got off the phone with Lydia, by the way, she sends her apologies that she couldn't meet us. She had to run straight to the next show in Detroit, and she's only just now back home. Another time, then.

-The mic died during the fight song and he threw it towards the crowd and when it swung back he had to move his head so it didn't hit him. XD That was cute.
...

<3I was right near the front gates waiting for Billie Jean - which was the only Phant shirt either of us saw all night. (How incredibly disappointing, considering I'm pretty sure Toronto's confirmed Phants list was biggest...) You probably walked right past me. I didn't hear you yelling though, that must have been before you got to where I was.

And that mic thing was hilarious. They just happened to have the camera focused on his face at the time, and you could see him getting madder and madder until he finally just swore and threw the thing - and it swung back and almost beaned him. :) Then some shmoe runs over with another mike - which didn't work either! Ha! He must have been pissed. No doubt somebody got fired.

The night ended with some asshole security dude (from the venue) on a power trip telling us to fuck off, that we weren't allowed to wait near the buses... so I still didn't get to meet Manson.

I had the only backstage passes handed out by the Manson camp, and even I didn't get to see him either, so don't fret. It was a matter of circumstance.

Backstage there were about a dozen or two dozen fans that were given passes to see Slayer. One of the wives to someone in the band was outside with their kid taking photos with the waiting Slayer fans. A man came for them early on.

However, some shitty contest promotion winners then came in. Probably a dozen and a half people, a good deal of which didn't even seem to care for Slayer OR Manson, had won passes through some sort of radio promotion. Essentially as soon as they got in, both tour busses jetted out of the arena within ten to fifteen minutes.

So that part was the only bust of the night. Can't bitch about free seats and a fucking amazing performence.

The Beautiful People (or quite likely Antichrist Superstar - the banners were up for both, but Manson wasn't up that high for TBP, I don't think. Then again, the confetti was TBP. *shrugs*)
