I will certainly be there!

Count me in, I've officially ordered my ticket.

Is there no pit? General Admission wasn't even an option, damnit.

:(

Anyway, I'm in section LT2, wherever the hell that is (as usual, TicketBastard's seating charts are absolutely useless).

Only three of us are going? That seems odd.

Get crackin', Motor City mo-fos!!

Looking forward to the show. It will be interesting to see how songs from previous albums get integrated into the new show. I caught MM in Grand Rapids during the Mechanical Animals tour and the show was pretty good.

I'll definitely be there. There's not pit, DTE is a big venue. There's pavillion seats, and then there's lawn seats.

How much were the tickets you bought, and where did you get them? Ticketmaster hasn't released any.

HA!!

We're gonna have a Manson, a vampire, a wormboy, a Hazekiah, and now an Adam Kadmon in attendance!! OMG!!! It's the end of the world!!!!

Heh, just bein' a jackass...don't mind me.

Glad to hear you'll be there, and welcome to the boards (officially, that is, assuming you've been lurking).

And, yeah, we all know that at least one song from the Grand Rapids Rock Is Dead show kicked ass...you lucky bastard. (Check out The Last Tour on Earth if you don't already know about what I'm talkin' about.)

Anyway, hope to see you there!

:)

The Slayer online fanclub site, The Slatanic Wehrmacht, offers presale access if you pay $25 to join.

My Detroit ticket costs were as follows:

Ticket = $49.50

Shipping Fee = $9

(Dis-) Service Fee = $6.30

Order Total = $64.80

There were cheaper seats, I believe, and I think I got the cheapest shipping (if you can fucking believe that). There is no Will Call option for Slatanic Wehrmacht presale tickets.

Wow, $65 + 25, that's pretty expensive. I think I just might have to wait until Ticketmaster starts selling them, hopefully I'll still be able to get some good seats.

Hazekiah
06-12-2007, 11:49 AM
Um, good luck with that.

If you're fast, connected, and/or lucky, maybe you'll get a pit ticket just by chance, but I wouldn't count on it.

I've seen about twenty shows over ten years in the venue Manson's playing in Chicago, and I've never gotten a pit ticket there, even though the floor is fuckin' huge. That's because I was simply using TicketBastard. I guess I'd never realized just how many different goddamn presales there could be for one fucking show.

Between the LiveNation presales, the MusicToday presales, the TicketBastard presales, venue season passes, radio promoter/giveaway tickets, and whatever the fuck else, it's a minor fucking miracle if the casual ticket buyer ends up with a pit ticket.

Wow, seriously? Well at DTE there is no pit, just pavillion seats and lawn seats.

But I guess I never really realized how many presales there are.

Hazekiah
06-12-2007, 03:07 PM
Sorry, I've got so many different Manson concerts on the brain right now that I forgot we were talking about a show that doesn't even have a pit to begin with.

Still, my point about good seats stands. (<-- Ouch.)

And, yeah, the presale-overkill thing is kind of disgusting. It's pretty fucking shitty to the fans that don't even know it's going on and think they're getting the best seats when they're calling TicketBastard at 10 o'clock sharp the day they go on sale to the public.

06-14-2007, 12:45 PM
Well anyway, thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll have to give a couple of these presales a thought.

Where are the presales?!

HpVampiress
06-16-2007, 10:11 AM
Got my tix a few minutes ago off the Ticketmaster...
I sat there waiting for them to go on sale at exactly 10am, and the best tix that I could get were row PP, center.

So you have been to Allstate a lot? How is the seating there? I am in the front row of section 113. I wanted to be fairly centered to the stage, and didn't want to mess with the pit because my wife is giving birth the day after the show and I need to be presentable at the hospital. I hope my seats are good, but I'm worried that I am too far away.

Hmm, I'd look it up to see where you are, but I'm far too drunk to safely operate the interwebs right now. Wherever you're seated, though, you're pretty much stuck there unless the ticketholders positioned directly next to you don't show up. Security's quite tight there, so I hope you've done well for yourself.

Anyway, it's sort of oblong in shape so you're really only fucked if you're on the opposite end of the building. If you're seated in the One-Hundred-something section, you'll probably be fine.

Come say "howdy," I'll give you a Manson sticker.

:)

Good, 'cause hangin' out with you just once wasn't enough for me, either. Can't wait to do it again -- see you there!!

Gah!

I've been kind of flying by the seat of my pants so far and had no idea how hard it is to get to the DTE without a car.

Anyone feel like pickin' me up at the Greyhound station to give me a lift to the show?

I can help with gas, food, whatever, etc., I'm just pretty much screwed without a ride, apparently.

:-\

EDIT: Ha! I suck. Nevermind.

EDIT No. 2: On my way up to Chicago now...hope to see you Motown fucks soon!!

This better be good, cos I really don't want to wait a whole day until I get to hear "same shit, different city."

First time poster, just got back, setlist as follows:

If I Was Your Vampire
Disposable Teens
mOBSCENE
Are You The Rabbit?
Sweet Dreams/Lunchbox outro
Just a Car Crash Away
Heart Shaped Glasses
Rock is Dead
The Dope Show
Putting Holes in Happiness
Reflecting God (!!)
Fight Song
ACSS
The Beautiful People

Crowd was really not digging much of the new material; I might have to agree about part of that. HSG just isn't good live, too cheesy. Really excited about the intensity of how the show ended, but it did not start that way. Manson wasn't hardly interacting with the crowd at all, in fact he went through every song without a single sentence to the audience. Not much going on stage either, makes me wish I was born in 79 and not 89 to have seen the ACSS tour. Don't get me wrong, great show and all, but I'm entitled to have gripes. Is it just me, or does nobody play encores at dte? NIN last year didn't (I guess if you end with Hurt, Hand That Feeds, and HLAH you really can't top that), Tool didn't (AEnima would have been nice), and nothing from Manson. Strange

Uh...Beautiful People IS the encore!! And why are you so surprised at how he has NOT been interacting with the crowd?? So far, every stop on this tour has had someone on here saying how he didn't interact with the crowd in THEIR city.

Well I tried to stay away from the other review threads on purpose (if I'm seeing a band I really love I try my best to keep the setlist a surprise), and with this being my first manson show, I had no idea what to expect. My personal opinion is that a frontman should acknowledge the audience, perhaps tell a little anecdote, makes him seem more human. I assumed it wasn't an encore really because there were breaks in between most songs in order to set things up

i was on the far left in the bowl. i had an exodus bonded by blood shirt on. anyone see me?

bleeding through surprised me. i dug their set. slayer was great as always. as for manson, he did well too. i wasn't as excited when i saw him than i thought i'd be. it was just like "yeah, alright, cool, it's him." when slayer's intro music came on, i had shivers. i was so pumped. for manson however, nothing. if i was your vampire is lame live i find. the set was alright... glad to see a little acss stuff in there. anyone else find the sound to be bad? i wasn't able to hear much of manson's voice... nor tom's from slayer.

AMAZING show! I was absolutely blown away.
I still cannot get over how Manson played "Reflecting God." I thought I was going to explode.
I thought HSG was well performed; I loved the confetti ^-^ ...and how they blurred into Lunchbox during Sweet Dreams..
The sound was a bit off though; I couldn't hear Manson's voice very well at times.
I was wearing a poofy black and red lolita style dress. Anyone see me?

Thank you so much for that. My only regret not going to this show was missing that song live.

Other than that, there wasn't much reason for me to go.
