Alright. Well I'm planning on going. I live about 2 hours south of Chicago. I was going to go by myself, but I found a friend who wanted to go. So we're going to go up on Saturday or Sunday and stay in Elmhurst probably until Tuesday morning. There's this nice hotel there that I always stay at when I go to Chicago.

Anyway, I'm hoping that since the show is on a Monday, there won't be a ridiculous amount of people lined up before noon.

It would probably be faster to get them online. I mean, you wouldn't have the actual tickets faster, but you'd have your purchase in faster.

I don't know 'bout that...I've been dealing with some total weak sauce regarding Ticketmaster's online system for the past three shows I have tried to get seats for. Well, either way they're kinda fucked and a huge pain in the ass, and don't even get me started on their phone orders, but I highly doubt anyone will have trouble scoring tickets for this show. My guess is, the arena will be half-full at best. In any case, perhaps we'll all see each other there.

Damned straight, damnit.

I was working at Loyola about a hundred paces from the Borders on Michigan the day you were there for Chuck's book signing. I got clocked out at 9 p.m. and ran down the street to find you but had no luck. The event had "officially" ended an hour earlier, I'm told, but he was taking his time with each fan so the line was still taking up most of the music section at that time.

Sorry, I tried my best to find you, but you can only ask so many people if the phrase "Guns of Brixton" means anything to them before you start to feel like an asshole.

Alright, i had to create an account to ask: you guys say that the tickets for the chicago show goes on sale on June 9th, but there is no show showing up on ticketmaster for the chicago show. I have seen other websites with tickets for this show, but they are way too overpriced, and do not look legit. Two out of my three favorite bands/artists are Slayer and Manson, and i have to get pit seat tickets, so i was just wondering when you guys think that official tickets for this show will go on sale on ticketmaster. And if it is June 9th, then where do they go on sale at (websitewise).

Thanks.

:-/

I actually didn't end up going to the signing...my friend who was going to drive was stuck in D.C., and since I met him last year I figured I'd wait until the next leg of the signing tour, or until he writes another book. Sorry dude, but that is hilarious you were asking around. Hell, if I was you, I woulda gotten in line and met Chuck. He liked to talk about Manson when I asked him about it. :-) I really, really need to find a way to get off of work the next day, like hell I want to drive back and then be up by 8 a.m., and we need to finally party. Getting there on time shouldn't be an issue, even though it will be during fucking Chicago rush hour traffic. I'll pm you my contact info a couple weeks beforehand and we'll figure something out, and everyone going to the show should exchange email or whatever so we can meet up.

BB3K

Damn, that's too bad, GoBbie, sorry to hear you missed it.

I would've hung around but the line was "closed." It took some convincing just to get the security bastard to let me search for a pal. Ho hum. We'll definitely meet up for Manson, at least.

Oh, and yeah, I just got my pit ticket.

By joining the Slatanic Wehrmacht online Slayer site.

It's only $25...it's been completely fucking worth it. Not dealing with TicketBastard and not having to worry about missing out on getting pit tickets is priceless, imho.

I had trouble with mine at first, too...but I managed to get it sorted out once I called the bastards up.

If your account still isn't fixed gimme an e-mail at TheBlackGoat@yahoo.com.

Oh, and the costs break down like this for Chicago tickets:

G.A. Ticket = $49.50

Shipping Fee = $9

(Dis-) Service Fee = $6.30

Total = $64.80

i might just do it.

It's officiall I got seats 8 and 7 of row FF on the lower level. I planned on pit tickets 'cause I got my first moshing experience not too long ago so I figured what the hell? Why not jump from a few college kids bouncing around, to a thousand Slayer fans? But my girlfrid, four foot eleven, is accompanying me, so I settled on actuall seats, 'cause her dad is letting me take her to Chicago and I really don't want to be the ex who got her nose broke. Hypothetically, could I "sneak" into the pit at some point into the show or will that be too difficult 'cause I was pretty set on bleeding.

So will there be an actuall meet spot anywhere, I doubt I'll be able to stray from the concert 'cause I'm only 16 and my parents are under the impression I'm going to die without them, but I'd love to meet you crazy fuckers in perosn

Innards Decay

Nope, I got lawn. The lawn is fun as hell though, rest assured there will be a violent, massive moshpit there, considering it holds about 40,000 people.

So 'bout this meetup thing...I's gonna be travelin' down from the Milwaukgay region in the late afternoonish dimension with Versinthe riding shottie. Yes, I am already planning...as should others.

The last Manson show I saw in Chicago was GB in 03, and it was insane! So too was Slayer's pit in Chicago last time I saw them. Perhaps it's just because Wisconsin sucks.

The Milwaukee GB show was definitely the most violent pit I have ever seen. If this tour comes anywhere close to how good that show was, I'll be raging through my pants. Wisconsin crowds usually do suck, but they luuuurve their Manson and NIN.

I'm not going to be able to do it. I was thinking about it today and even if we did push our leave date off, it'd end up being two days instead of one. Why? Because I'd have to stay over night and then drive 4 and a half hours back. We have deadlines to meet in AZ and that's why we're leaving that Monday.

It would have been cool though. Looks like I'll just be at the show in Phoenix...maybe LA too if I can swing it. Hell. I'll only be two hours away from that one.

You know what? Of all the shows, I wish I could go to that one. But no. I can't. I actually just, just bought my ticket and my brother's and his girlfriend's to the Phoenix show. We spent $196 on fucking seats in section JJ.
Grrrrr. I'm glad I have the chance to go because I know there are a lot of places the band isn't touring this time (like Stl for instance. WTF?) but still. I'm kind of spoiled with pit tickets and my ding dong ass wasn't paying attention to when they went on sale so...no pit for me.

Has anyone who got their tickets from the Slayer fan club received them yet? I know they say not to expect them until like 2 weeks before the show, but I'd like to have them as soon as possible just so I know I have them. The real problem, ethics aside, would be a matter of escalation. Say some drunk-as-fuck lug of a Slayer fan gets a little over-enthused in the presence of his ilk, who he knows can take it after having been in a million Slayer pits with them over the decades, and he winds up accidentally roughin' you up beyond your comfort level...then he spots you comin' after him with brass knuckles. He's not just gonna be poundin' the back of your head anymore, he's gonna come at you ready to chew your fuckin' eyes out of your face while ass-raping your father and tearing out the entrails of your favorite pet bare-handed. And once his buddies realize you've got brass knuckles aimed at their pal, you'll go from a scared kid with brass knucks to a bloody pulp with an ass made of ground chuck in about half-a-second. Think, man, think.

Well, the intentions are well-meant (simply trying to meet up, that is), so I didn't want to be the first one to say it, but, yeah...anyone doing that is gonna look like a fool. Plus, if the crowd's even halfway rowdy in line, no one will hear any positive responses over the people screaming back thinking you're just trying to whip up the crowd a little.

I don't think finding one another at the show should be that difficult, as long as we all manage to keep in touch in here leading up to it. I'm planning on posting some pictures of myself and a rough idea of what I'll be wearing to the show beforehand. Plus, if all goes according to plan, I'll be sporting a sign outside...more on that later. Heh.

No, and I'm actually kind of worried about that. I'll need my Camden/Philly ticket before I leave home for West Palm Beach or else I'm fucked...and I know better than placing too much faith in MusicToday (gotta get something out of my Spiral membership, right?).

HA! Oh, fuck...how painfully true that is. Just another of the many reasons I always call 'em Disservice Fees, damn them. The cheapest ticket shipping for each Slatanic Wehrmacht ticket is nine fucking dollars, and Will Call isn't even an option. My special lady and I are going to be there. I suspect a couple of other bunnies will be there too. I hope so anyway because I always get wirey and full of energy that doesn't allow for keeping track of people I'm with.

I've never seen Slayer, so I'm particularly excited. As for the pit, I've never enjoyed any pits that weren't at obscure punk shows. They have either been too meek, having the consistency of people hopping around in circles with no collective momentum, or they have been filled with big burly motherfuckers who pick my 130 pound ass up and throw me around in the air like a rag doll.

I'm going to very likely be drunk off of whiskey and somewhat incognito. Pre-show refreshments are imperative.

I really hope the only songs that he plays from the new album exclude everything but Vampire, Rabbit, Evidence, Devil, Happiness, or Car Crash. The rest of them would make for a less than ideal evening overall.

Whatever. Oh we should alllll be shitting in our pants because some chotchbag Slayer fans wanna act hard? Both of those groups were fucking pussbags who can't even throw a decent punch, let alone bringing like 10 people on two or three terrified, stupid kids. I'm really getting fucking annoyed with this whole faux-rivalry that fans from both camps are trying to build up. Nothing is going to happen, Slayer fans aren't going to do shit, and their favorite band is going to suck but they'll still act like they're goddamn Black Sabbath in 1974. S'alright, you will be able to mosh or piss on the attendee adjacent to you just fine. I'm kind of sad Manson isn't playing The Eagles Ballroom(Rave) this tour. It has that small enough, but big enough type of feel which turned that place into a warzone during the GGG Tour and Grotesk Burlesk. There better be some massive pit action in Chicago, but from the looks of the bootlegs thus far, I don't see any sort of crowd movement whatsoever. Somewhat disheartening...

Keep in mind most of the shows Marilyn Manson have played have been festivals. I would think that if the majority of the people at a show were going so they could see Marilyn Manson, there would be some moshing. But with these big festivals, you won't see that as much.

Plus America is rowdier than the UK. The tour with Slayer should be pretty rough.

This is true, and I thought of that prior to making that comment, but even from the headlining gigs the crowds seem to be rather inert. But, you're right, U.S. fans are rowdy, so hopefully there is some good surge/pit action for all.

Anyway, the US dates should be pretty crazy. I'm curious about the Slayer fans though. I'm wondering if they'll stick around for Marilyn Manson. If they do, and the MM set is heavier than what they're playing in the UK, the pit could definitely get rough.

It is. I'm pretty short.

Every big show like this I go to there's always someone who comes in the morning and waits in line all day so that they can stay in the same spot in front for the whole show and supposedly enjoy themselves. Do you motherfuckers wear catheters or something? I weigh 130 pounds. I've never shown up on time for a show, much less ridiculous amounts of time early, and I've never had a problem getting in front, with exception of having seat tickets, and even when I had seat tickets, I flashed the wrong ticket to the usher and got a really good seat (fragile tour) with a charming, cute girl wearing an all golden dress.

It's a shame they've got those big fences up these days, I used to outrun security after sneaking onto the floor with the best of them. Anyhow, it is granted that I've never been to a Slayer show, but I've been to some shows where all of the people in front were people with arms as big as my head who had no mercy in crushing my ribs and lungs to the point where I couldn't breathe so that they had more room up front. If Id waited since the morning to be in front and had that happen I'd be pretty upset.

Also, if you're the "tiny tim" type, you must have the ability to slither. All it takes is a little shrewdness and your bladder will thank you for it with a more pleasant and leisurely time in the long run. Or if it's your ritual that I guess I should mind my own business, to each his own.

Yes. Maybe we will compare picnic baskets.

I have never bothered to try to figure out the bus situation after manson shows, so I have never even come close to meeting manson or anyother band members. I've met Skold a couple of times.

I'm convinced I have interacted with manson while on stage a number of times but I will not spin my own wheels about the minor things. Anyhow, I'm definitely going to entertain the idea this time, if we're not strewn limb from limb by the handful of people that have actually taken the initiative to buy tickets first.

It's not like Slayer fans are some half-divine beasts from Greek mythology or fucking Uruk Hai for Christ's sake, don't be intimidated by them. They're just frustrated homosexuals who don't know where to be since 'Country Thunder USA' is over and were cooed into attending the tour because they think Tim Skold looks like Ennis Del Mar without a straw hat.

Off topic for a second. I think that it would be a cool idea to make our own Phant tour video. I think that it would make "The Death Parade" look like Veggie Tales.

As for my Chicago sjpw plans. I am still hoping to go, I will hopefully secure my ticket to that show next Friday. I am just a little worried if I am either going to be murdered, raped, or kidnapped. Not by Manson fans. Chicago just creeps me out. No offense to it's natives. hehe

The Allstate Arena isn't really downtown Chicago at all. You have nothing to worry about. All that is by it is a strip mall with a Target in it.

Yeah yeah...it does suck, but I'd rather get the venue when I want rather than having to navigate the L; not that it isn't fun, but timeliness at my discretion is teh sex in this case. I coughed up $25 to park across the street of the Auditorium Theatre for Bjork, but there really wasn't any other choice and I'm sure August 13th will be no different.

Possibly taking a pho-to-graph of xcarriex topless, making a quick strike to Kinko's, and then asking for United Way donations between Slayer - Manson set changes with black & white 3x5 posters. Black and white because one can easily recall the plight of Darfur by employing such stark contrast. If we catch Rob Holliday's or Ginger's eye, surely we could gain backstage access. I was at the Toronto show and I was glad to see we got the best set list thus far. With that being said, it occured to me after I wrote a review for the TO show that there appeared to be some mechanical problems with the lift Manson uses during The Love Song. I'm assuming that's why it probably wasn't played last night (although I could be completely wrong). Manson is very particular about the stage show and if there is even the slightest problem with a prop that affects the imagery of what he is doing, they will ditch the song until it gets fixed. I've seen it before (ACSS tour, Holywood tour) so I hope the best for you guys. His voice was in TOP form when I saw them in TO, I hope it's as good for you.

If this show is half as good as the Toronto show, you guys are in for an amazing show. The thing about the Toronto show is that even Bleeding Through played a longer set. They finished and then someone ran up to them and they said "oh, we have time for two more songs." Then again, Manson came on late as per usual so who knows. It's funny how adding one song apparently makes all the difference to people. Then again, if Manson does play "You And Me And The Devil Makes 3" I will be extremely jealous!

The show was fuckin amazing. Slayer was...meh, I'm not a big fan. I think I liked Bleeding Through more than them. Manson's voice sounded almost CD quality good. Everything was pretty standard, everything you've heard about already, except for Heart Shaped Glasses, that had a pretty this Evan-looking robot come walking in with a birthday cake. Manson took off her head and started singing to it! The greatest part of the concert had to be Antichrist Superstar, when Manson, in his Reverend clothing, got up to the podium, held up a bible, which set itself on fire.

GunsOfBrixton

I will have to concur that despite my negative assumptions regarding this tour, Marilyn Manson were fucking great last night. If I Was Your Vampire was an awesome opener, and I already felt like I got my money's worth at the end of that song. It was actually totally surprising how much energy and power that song had, even if it was a slower but ominous, brooding opener. The band sounded tight as hell, with Skold and Ginger giving the musical performances of the night. Manson sounded pretty damn good, was really into the show, and worked the crowd really well. Vrenna and Holliday were excellent as well. At several points Rob spat into the air and caught it right in his mouth, and also performed a little faux-fellatio on Manson, albeit through the microphone. The repressed desire and sexual tension between the two was obvious though. =D
I thought the whole mechanical Evan doll wheeling around the birthday cake was pretty funny, and a twisted little prop to one of the best songs of the night. I took as many pictures as I could, but I forgot to change batteries prior to getting into the show, so I was combating two batteries that were flatlining on me like it was their job. But I did get some very good pics of Antichrist Superstar, which now features a spontaneously combustable Bible.
So there were a few cool surprises with the props, The Reflecting God was a monster, Antichrist Superstar owned the night, and the Eat Me, Drink Me selections were excellent live, and definitely cultivated an energy that I think is lost on the studio outputs, especially Just A Crash Car Away. AND we had some 'phant shenanigans before and after the show as well, pictures included. We saw Tim and Rob walk to the buses afterwards, but didn't get to meet anyone as they were packing up to head to Minneapolis tonight. Even people who had backstage passes didn't get to meet anyone from Manson, which sucks I suppose.

As far as Slayer goes, they're good at what they do, but Manson kicked the shit out of them, to be honest. Also, many seemed to feel the need to degrade Manson by screaming "fuck Manson" and "whose that chick Marilyn Manson" yada yada...same old diatribe from some of them acting like fucking lobotomized jackasses who'd pay to see an orangutan with a powerdrill and leave saying "that was so fucking raw dude, Araya's vocals were core as fuck." So, I guess we heard what you would expect from anyone who would spontaneously jizz over three power chords during the interludes. But nonetheless, Slayer were good, and definitely deserve respect.

Didn't see Bleeding Through, as business was being tended to during their set. Sorry for the disjointed review, but I'm pretty fucking tired, post more/and some pics later.

Meow.

So too did the self-combusting bible during 'Antichrist Superstar'.

A more in depth review shall come later. Thanks for the hospitality, GoB. I thought we were already friends on Facebook though...erm.

No sweat...next time NIN or Manson roll into town, we will have to party for a prolonged period. But last night was a good warm up.

Yes you did.

I wasn't sure if you were like...womboy's girlfriend. Otherwise, I would've openly felt him up.

YouTube compressed the footage. It does that.

The show was awesome.

I arrived at the venue about 7:45, but decided to hang out in the parking lot and outside the venue until about 8:20. In the past, I've encountered patdowns and metal detecter wanding to get in the venue. This time there was NOTHING. No patdowns, no metal detecters...nothing. I walked right in. It would've been easy for anyone to sneak in recording equipment. Hopefully somebody got a real video recording of the show (not camera phones or digital cameras).

Upon entering I went and got my floor wristband (damn I hate that they took the entire ticket, I have no stub).

As I was walking towards one of the checkpoints, a very cute girl dressed in thigh high stockings, blue corset, lots of ear piercing, and what looked like the shortest mini skirt I'd ever seen in my life, walked just in front of me. There was some old man and women working the checkpoint and the look on both of their faces when they saw this girl was absolutely priceless.

After getting through, I just walked behind this girl and upon entering the floor, she moved her way through the crowd effortlessly. I just followed her since everyone was making way for her.

Slayer had already been half way into their set at that point. I was off to the very left side somewhat near the front. The crowd in that area was very tame...Pretty much just people standing there like statue's while sipping their beer.

Slayer was...well Slayer. If you like them, you probably enjoyed their performance. If you're like me, and don't really care about them, then every song sounded same.

At this point the girl I mentioned earlier had drifted off somewhere. Slayer finished up their set and as a few Slayer fans made their way out of the pit, I seized that opportunity to get as close as possible. After a few minutes I had worked my way up within 3 people of the barrier right in front of Skold's area.

The intermission was fun when they started playing Walk by Pantera over the PA. The crowd started singing along.

Finally, the lights went down and Manson took the stage. The place erupted. It was clearly a Manson crowd. The band played for probably 70 minutes, but it felt like 25. I was having a great time.

Near the beginning of Mansons set, somebody threw what I first thought was a shoe onstage. Manson walked over and picked it up, and it actually had a prosthetic leg attached to it. He threw back into the audience just feet behind where I was standing.

I found it funny when the Evan prop/tourniquet doll came out, I don't know if it was coincidence or if it is his cue to get her to start moving, but he walked up behind her, he pinched her ass, then she started walking again.

The highlight of the night was during the Beautiful People. Manson came over and leaned down right in front of us. I reached up and fully grabbed the mic as he was singing. He then reached out and put the mic right over our heads and let us sing. I was again able to reach up and touch his arm.

After the show ended, I walked around the floor for about 10 minutes looking for Haz (he's the only one I think I'd recognize) or anyone in a Phant shirt, but I had no luck.

I did however spot the girl in the thigh high stockings. I really wanted to talk to her, but I pussed out. I originally thought she was there by herself. But afterwards, she was hanging with a small group of people. Two of them were dressed up as Skold. Then there was one or two other girls.

All and all, it was so much fun and I wish I could attend more shows. Manson could've been more interactive with the crowd. I don't think he said anything besides "Chicago" twice and I thought I heard him quietly mumble a "thank you" after one of the songs. I would've also liked to have gotten the love song, but it didn't happen. But I can't complain, it was still a great show.

Manson fans and Slayer fans got along just fine. I didn't see any fights or disagreements of any kind. Everyone around me was pretty cool. If were around the barrier inf front of Skold, then chances are you saw me.

The girl against the barrier in front of me had what looked like a digital SLR camera. I don't know if she posts here, but she has to have some amazing pictures.

The whole show was fucking awsome.
I got in line about 3pm I think.
Target was next door, it was pretty cool to see a bunch of Slayer and Manson fans in there.
Also, I stopped in Belvedare and saw some guy in an old Manson Tshirt. Did anyone here stop in Belvedare Travel Center and notice some purple-haired chick looking at him? That was me
I talked to this one guy next to me in line, but I didn't think to ask if he was from the 'phant. (I was the one with the uptight Christian parents worried about drugs)
I was in the way front of the pit, only one chick was in front of me. This blonde snotty looking chick in the victoria's secret tank top and abercrombie jeans who kept giving me looks earlier in line and in the pit, and looking like she was whispering about me to her friends a few times. Her bleach blonde pony tail kept trying to poke me in the fucking eye.
Bleeding Through were great live, as I expected. It pissed me off most people were just fucking standing still their whole set. I got to rub Brandan Schieppati's (lead singer) sweaty, bulky arms a few times. I had a rock star's sweat on my hand, and it wasn't going to be there forever, so I ate it. =)
Slayer came on and they were great, but most of the fans were fucking assholes towards Manson fans. These two huge Mexicans thought it would be fun to both push into me at the same time at once and they didn't stop. The bottom of my ribs were overlapping and I couldn't breathe because I was so fucking crushed. The majority of the pit was like a human trash compactor, but I think I got it worse than most.
I had to leave the Slayer pit and when Manson came on I couldn't get my good spot back.
Manson was sooo good. I got a bunch of pics and video clips of most of the songs, including a few seconds of the Evan-bot. I couldn't fucking believe that I had to replace my batteries during the bible burning. The croud loved it. There were many costume changes, and sound clips from Alice In Wonderland played between each song. There weren't many fight-circle things during Manson's set, the first one I was aware of was during The Beautiful People. Manson's croud was the best, though. They weren't as idiotic as Slayer's and not as motionless as Bleeding Through's.
There was this guy standing next to me during most of Manson's set that was just as into it as I was. He was pretty cool. He wanted my myspace and I said I'd give it to him after the show but we got split apart because of The Beautiful People's fight-circle-thing.
I'll upload my pics and video to Photobucket and share sooner or later.

Here's the review from my blog...

"Last night encapsulated months of what I've been needing. I mean, two of my all-time favorite musical acts, together, sharing a stage. Orgasmic.

I don't know if it was the eyeliner, the bandana, or the swastika, but Slayer fans seemed to have that sideline glare going for me. I would expect they'd be at least accustom to two of those three things.

NORTH GATE!

...

Unfortunately, as Slayer's set began, I was forced to abandon them in favor of br00tality. Sadly, my expectations were too high.

Chicago, where were your balls for fucking Slayer. There was a 10ft x 4ft pit that lasted all of two songs and continued to shrink into obscurity thereafter. I understand it's a big arena, and that many of you are burnouts, but good god. My boots were disintegrating and I had endured! For shame! Much respect to Slayer though, they still deliver-my only qualm was that they chose songs that seemed to blend into one another for their set list, making it somewhat hard to discern when songs actually changed.

It was good, nay, fucking fantastic to hear 'Payback' live. My neck aches for thee.

As expected, the throng packed in towards the front waiting for Manson. Waiting for Manson was a treat in an of itself for me (last time I saw him in Chicago, the P.A. blasted the same 3 Prodigy songs over and over and over again.) I got down to 'Party Like a Rockstar'-"...on the yacht with Marilyn Manson, gettin' a tan, man"-the original 'Rock n Roll Nigger', and everyone chanted along when Pantera's "Walk" come oon.

The fog machines hissed and the light went low. Schubert's: "Trio No. 2 in E-Flat Major for Piano, Violin, and Violoncello" opened as red lights burned behind two bleeding Ms and pulsed, mimicing the beat of a heart. The pulsing sped up until finally it ended, signaling the morose intro to "If I Was Your Vampire". This song was heavier than I could have imagined, and what was even more shocking was how rowdy the crowd got as he swaggered about the stage. I admittedly got a fanboy boner when he tore open his shirt to reveal a lovely leather corset, something hadn't donned in awhile (or so I think.)

His voice was solid, the band was tight-despite some lacking presence from Vrenna. Rob Holliday, the new bassist, fit right in, drooling all over himself, ripping at his strings as if to violate an upright bass. Skold jammed out with his usual swagger, cutting into solos like he knew he was the shit.

The crowd was consistently upbeat and rowdy, only seeming to slow down during "Putting Holes in Happiness", which admittedly was a good time to adjust and get more situated. It should be noted as well that for the first time at a show, I didn't not lose control of my pants, they stayed up around my waist the entire duration of the show *golf claps*.

To those who discredited this show as "boring" or "not theatrical" are full of cock. Manson even unveiled new props, just for Chicago. Most of which were simply elaborating on old stunts (the decapitatable Evan Rachel Wood robot with the birthday cake during "Heart-Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides the Hand)" was a variation on his Grotesk Burlesk performance of "Tourniquet", the podium during "Antichrist Superstar" featured collapsible microphones and a combustable Holy Bible, which I howled like a mad black woman with the Holy Ghost at.) Even seeing Manson as a boxer during "The Fight Song" was an unexpected treat; having seen pics of this stunt from earlier shows, I was extremely unsure of how it would go in a live setting. Manson rising up on the hydrolic lift during 'The Reflecting God" was not only a visual treat, but a temperate one as well, as the smoke released from beneath the lift served as quite a reprieve from the heat.

Needless to say, he defied expectations this time around, the entire band did. It was great to see that Manson wasn't intimidated by Slayer or their fans, and that he was there to deliver his version of an awesome rock show. 'Twas awesome indeed.

[Hazekiah], Christine, and myself stayed around for an hour or so with [GunsofBrixton], a fellow 'Phant member from Milwauke
