My sis and I always go to the summer Montreal show, and this year will be no exception. We've met awesome fans there, including April a.k.a. the "frek" bag girl from that Manson DVD.
Anyway, just want to know who else will be there and if there's any good place around the venue to chill before the show. Usually when Manson plays at Metropolis, we hang out at Foufounes prior to the show, but I have no idea what is near the Bell Centre.
Thanx!!

Hey, i'm from Montreal and am thinking of going to the show but aren't 100% on it cause i'm really not a Slayer fan at all and none of my friends like Manson so i'd be going alone, but I might be swayed over since i have yet to see MM in concert. Around the Bell center there are a bunch of bars not to far away, Madhatters on Crecent St. and Peel Pub are good places to hang out for a drink.

The last Montreal show in 2003, I went with a good friend of mine, known on this forum as Dope Cat. Though I don't really know if time and money will permit me to go, and there's also the Salyer factor.

MarchHare: That's cool, thanks for the bar ideas! I'm not a Slayer fan either, but I've seen them before (on that tour with Slipknot) and they were decent. It's not worth missing the MM show just because of Slayer...if you come by yourself, you can always hang out with the BBS crowd.
46 & 2: I was there too; it was an awesome show!

I was at Manson's July 2003 and November 2004 shows at the Metropolis. The action was crazy on stage and even crazier down in the moshpit!
I was thrilled to read today in La Presse - Québec's most prominent french newspaper - that Marilyn Manson will be stopping by the Montreal Bell Center on August 8th (funny because there is no mention of the american leg of the world tour on MM's official website, as of yet). I'm glad they chose the Bell Center, because this venue will certainly be roomier, hey, the more fans, the merrier! There are a lot of clubs and bars in the area, many can be found on Crescent Street (as mentioned above) which is just a few blocks away. However, please bear in mind that nothing compares to "Les Foufounes Électriques". Unfortunately, it's not anywhere near the Bell Center. I think most Manson's fans would fit in much better with the Foufounes' punkish gothic crowd than with the trendy yet more conservative straight nightclubbers who usually hang out on Crescent St., but, hey, if it's only for a couple of drinks, who cares where you go!
I'm certainly not thrilled about the prospect of having to sit through Slayer's opening act. Hope they don't play a full set, please, also hope there won't be two other obscure bands opening the show. However, if this is the price I have to pay to see my beloved Manson, well then so be it! I just want to be in the same room with BHW once more, to breathe the same air (if that what's you can call it!) if only for a few hours...
I've checked the Bell Center website and there is no mention of an upcoming MM/Slayer concert as of yet. I've got no clue when the tickets will go on sale. I hope I can get my hands on a pair of tickets real soon. It's been nearly three years, I'm certainly not getting any younger (neither is Manson!) and I do believe I've waited long enough!
