View Full Version : Sadly, Just a Dream I Had

In my dream last night, I dreamt that Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson were going to tour together late this summer and on into fall. People were going crazy over this tour, and the ticket prices were outrageous. I know that here in Dallas, they were going to play at the American Airlines Center, (GO MAVS!) which Manson himself could never fill, but I've always wanted to see him in a large venue, but it was all a dream. Too bad the dream didn't go as far as the concert; just the hype and purchase of the tickets … maybe another night. Man, at their point in their careers, what an amazing show that would be.

You mean one who is fit and in the best shape of his life with energy through the roof with a continuous flow of creative out put and one who looks like a bloated addict playing the same set list over and over putting no energy at all into the shows and hyping more then doing? Sounds like they are exactly in the same place in their careers!
One could be the opening act and one the other the headliner, just like 1994!

I remember that tour, and although I was a fan, back then Manson wasn't shit. I would be really cool to see them tour together again. None the less, it was just a dream.

It's a dream many of us have. I still dream about seeing Manson playing guitar on a live version of "Gave Up" (What can be cooler that that?) only to end the show singing "Starfuckers Inc." together. Sadly, I'm pretty sure that will never take place in the real world.

What ever happened to Manson and Reznor. I hear they had a fallout, but what over??

I don't think anyone here really knows the answer to that question.
Ever since the fallout that was described in LHROH, Manson and Reznor have had a few more public feuds and reconciliations with various insults and accusations being thrown around.
It seems like an on again/off again relationship that's currently locked firmly in the "off" position.
And again, I have no idea about the reasons for this and I honestly don't care since their personal relationship is none of our business even if we would like to see them work together again.
It may be that they actually hold no personal grudges and they've just grown too far apart or are in too different places to care what the other is doing anymore.
The last time they were seen in public talking was near the release of GAOG.
Back to the original topic, it may never happen but I'd give almost anything to see Manson and NIN co-headline together.
And I'm not entirely sure NIN can fill an arena by themselves anymore either.
When NIN and QOTSA played at the AAC here in Dallas (I live here too) it still was'nt COMPLETELY filled but when Manson played the smaller Nokia theatre by himself the place was packed.
I think a co-headlining arena tour could sell out.
BTW is it just me, or did the acoustics suck at the AAC?

They weren't as great. I was a bit dissapointed.
Wow, another Dallas resident! For a while I thought I was on my own here.

They'd end up fighting again over who gets to be the main headliner.

Smirnoff is the shit; saw him there in 2003. However, his best show was GGG tour at the Bronco Bowl, which is sadly no longer with us.
