It's going to be something like The Beautfiul People or something. I mean come on, it's the Master Of Horrors soundtrack, like anything new would be on that.

Just don't get your hopes up.

Just don't get your hopes up. What are you talking about, plenty of artists contributed original material to the first soundtrack. This is to say that you aren't right about it probably being The Beautiful People, or Sweet Dreams.

Yes but Manson has strayed away from the whole scare tactic bullshit. I just don't see it in him anymore. I'm not saying I'm not 100%, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I'm positive that nothing new will come out of this.

Yeah, I'm thinking its a preview song of the next album or maybe a remix, but howhow I highly doubt it. I think its a song that is already out there that We've already heard.

That's complete shit. I love the guy, I love his work but I don't have super high expectations of something new because of all the previous let downs. Marilyn Manson is and always will be my favortie musician/artist but as a fan am I not allowed to not like something or think something not-so great is going to come out of this?

I never said anything he does sucks actually it's quite the opposite. It's just over the past years the man has done nothing to prove that something new and great will come out of this soundtrack. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that's my opinion [GET OVER IT] and it will be until this thing actually hits the stores.

I can only agree with Timothy.
Without sounding too negative, there really hasnt been anything positive since 2003 :\.
Except mayby for the Lest we forget dvd...
The AAG tour was a big fiasko in my opinion, did more damage than healing.
Will stop here with this discussion, dont want to get offtopic.

I doubt that anything new will be on the soundtrack, thats what i think, but i hope that there´s someting new.
A teaser song for the new album, like Tainted Love.

Or perhaps Personal Jesus did the trick... i hope not.

Be happy :)

Manson isn't one to contribute completely new material to projects outside of his own.

He'll either do something to showcase himself as a business venture if it's in his best interest (like Godhead or the R.E. score), or he'll throw out a b-side relevent to what he's already promoting on a soundtrack, like with Golden Years or LHROOH.

Right now with his current projects there's no reason to offer something original to a seasonal compilation that's mostly run of the mill metal b-sides and singles. Plus he's already working on This Is Halloween, which I'd be much more interested in hearing than some boring industrial-tinged aggro-rock. As long as that's not what he's doing to the song...

Read my entire post before you misquote me.

It's pretty lame to put out a new song, unannounced, on some cheesy metal compilation that's only sold 50,000 records. Anyways, if it was new, in the press release I'm absolutely positive they would have said "featuring new material from Marilyn Manson" instead of just "featuring."

And Manson didn't even write some of the material in your list, like Redeemer. He only performed it because of his relationship to Jonathan Davis and admitted he wouldn't of done it if not for that connection.

Ive never heard of this movie before so.... is this new one really the second or is it the third Masters of Horror film? Someones got their info wrong and I'm assuming its best buy cuz they suck like that.

Masters of Horror is actually a TV Movie series on Showtime that showcases various notable genre directors doing films for showtime. I'm sad that I haven't seen any of them though, I hear they've all been pretty badass-especially the unreleased movie by Miike.

Not so. The original Masters of Horror soundtrack contained previously unreleased tracks, and they weren't crappy remixes either.

I did readyour entire post, and I didn't misquote you.
Manson wrote 9 of the 14 tracks i mentioned, but that's not really the point at all, the point is they wereall "New" songs, wether he wrote them or not, they were songs not on his albums, and they've all been on film soundtracks.
Thusly: I find the point you made in your earlier post to be... well... wrong :-P

manson isnt going to actually try to do anything anymore, just conjur up notions of things that might. He's married and he's done putting anything out, his range of emotions have been leveled out to a balanced medium and it's more than likely just going to be all talk, minimum work, and even less delivery from here on out. He's retired.

Manson has one album left in him I believe. And this is it. After this, everything he does might be irrelevant. He might just be doing it to do it and that's it. I see him becoming a touring band with minimal album releases. Just my thoughts.

it would be nice if this soundtrack would herald the first song from the new celebritarian era, you never know. an unreleased one he might plan on keeping off the new album. just a taste in the meantime, one can hope.

I feel shitty for even posting this thread now, but usually theprp are pretty reliable. I was looking forward to any song period, even a remix, but we weren't that lucky. At least MM wasn't the only one not featured on the disk from the so called "original lineup list", Trivium and As I Lay Dying aren't present as well. I don't know whether these 3 bands were ever supposed to be on the cd or were removed or backed out or what happened. And as far as I know, the list posted a few up from here is the "official" as it was posted by both blabbermouth.net and theprp, even though Amazon still hasn't posted a list.

manson-world.net nicks almost all of it's news from other sources. I know this because BarTOne used to copy and paste the news off my old site word for word. As several old news stories were posted yesterday it looks like they were copied in one fell swoop. That statement is old and is what was posted in the initial post of this thread.
