Is it me or is there something screwy going on with the boards at night?
It's happened the past two nights in a row basically.
I usually get home around 9 pm(pacific time), go to Myspace first, then come to the boards to see if I can reply to anything interesting.
Unfortunately, when I get to the page, there are no flashing bolts, and when I enter a topic, there are new postings, agian without any attention on the envelope
So I was just there, scratching my head, and gave up.
Is it me? Has this happened to anyone else around the same time? Remember, take into consideration what part of the country/world I am in.

This should be in Inquiries and Troubleshooting.

Yeah, I kind of figured that out after I entered it.
But what is it?
It's never happened before.

It's probably nothing. Most likely a page loading error. Happens to everyone sometimes. The Phant's been a wee bit slow as of late, and causes those kinds of problems, but they're always temporary. Is it only like that for the first bit, or the whole time you're here, and only at night?

Also, I have no idea what area of the world you're in, and I doubt that it matters.

I live in Los Angeles, hence I put Pacific Time in paranthesis.
It only happens at night.
It's working fine right now at work.
It's weird, and I don't like it. :(

The whole time I'm on the site.
I stood on it for like 5 minutes because of it last night.
On monday, I visited the site like 3 to 4 times, and yes, it did stay like that.

It may be related to a similar problem that we had here a little while ago - the server gets serviced during certain hours, and everything gets slower, along with a few 404s and such. If your "night" coincides with that time, that could be why it's loading funny. I wouldn't worry about it, as long as the posts are showing up and everything else is working alright.

Thanks for pointing that out HoH. I would guess this is the issue, normal server maintanence starts around 12am - 1am EST. It usually lasts about 2 or 3 hours. It does anything from updating system software, backing up everyone's website, or emailing bills for me.

LOL. Awesome.
Thanks, I was just making sure.
I like to nip things in the bud real quick before they get out of hand.
You can graveyard this now if you wish.

I suggest leaving it, since this question comes up relatively frequently.

Yeah, same thing frequently happens to everyone I believe, sometimes all the images and text gets all jumbled up, other times you get a 404 error.

That's the first time on this site I've seen a thread be recommended for banning from the thread maker, and then the other users happy with the post to the point they wanted to keep it instead...

^ Yes, but only because this thread will be useful for members who are having the same type of issues. Instead of making a new thread everytime, it only makes sense to leave this one here.
