Acutally, I would like to see someone WAY better than S.T.U.N. and Slunt from the two previous tours.
Maybe someone around the likes of . . .
Deadsy (new album support), Godhead (new album coming soon), or someone that's just actually better than the two previous bands.

Dude, anything is better than Morrissey.
Personally, I think Morrissey will be to much of a pompous jackass to ever accept a tour with Marilyn Manson.
He thinks he's holier than though.
Fuck him.

I understand you defending him and everything, but he isn't anything great, he isn't even remotely close to good. In fact, he is just plain horrible.
I have no idea how that ugly mug ever gotten into a band, let alone go solo because he is one gargoyle of a person.

Um... I don't know? Zeromancer would be cool and more realistic.

Mushroomhead would actually be a great opening band.
Great show, great stage pressance, and they have a great fanbase as well.

morrissey shakes mm hand

Followed by a punch in the jaw by Marilyn Manson with that evil grin on his face.

I know it would not happen but if Devil Driver would stop drinking so much on stage I think that would be cool. Might be a little to hard for Manson tho. Oh and Morrissey I dont even want to start so all I will say is it will NEVER fucken happen.

Eh.
Mushroomhead is a more likely canidate to headline.
Devildriver is too metal for some Marilyn Manson fans.

I know it might be a stupid idea, but perhaps The Dresden Dolls?

Hazekiah
08-08-2006, 03:30 PM
Not stupid at all. When I first saw them in '03 I immediately thought they should've been involved with Manson's Grotesk Burlesk.

But the crowds probably would've just abused the hell out of 'em like they did with Rasputina on the Dead to the World Tour.

I know, thats why I thought it might be a bad idea. >__< I felt a bit bad for Rasputina, and I don't really want to witness a Rasputina 2 series of events.

For a second there I thought you meant that you saw Rasputina open for Manson.

Then I checked your profile and realized you'd have been six years old at the time if you had.

So I guess you didn't.

But if you did, I fucking hate you.

:)

Oops, did I say "hate?"

I meant "envy."

(And "hate.")

Lol. No, I didn't see Rasputina or Manson. I'm still a Manson live concert virgin. -__-;; *Single emo tear* BUT, they did come to Edmonton for that tour. And somebody actually rang our doorbell and tried to get my Mum sighn a petition against them playing here. My Mum was all "Who is she?" And the woman gave my Mum a sour look and said "He is a SHE". My Mum apparently refused to sighn the petition because she didn't know who they were, and didn't want to make incorrect judgements. Go Mum. ^^

I can't even find any bloody reviews for the show, and the only person I know who made the show(which I believe was at the then known Skyreach Centre) is my hairdresser, and when I asked her about it, she said "Jeeze, I can barely even remember, it was so long ago, it was like a blur... I remember the flag coming down though, and the podium".

I assume that was "Antichrist Superstar". -___-;; Him and Twiggy apparently vististed West Ed. Mall though, and they saw the doplhin show! Lol, I saw that on Kindergarden filedtrip. They haven't been here ever since, and the last of the dolphins finally passed away a few years ago. For fucks sake, I live only half an hour away from the bloody Sky Reach Centre.

Excuse my pathetic whining. Xp

Night Angel from Coyote's Spookhouse made it to that show and reviewed it...as well as every other Canadian show on that tour. But the page they were on is down now. I'll let you know if I ever find my live review archive disc, but the odds are quite long against me doing so this decade.

:(

If it makes you feel better, Rasputina didn't open for that one, Powerman 5000 did.

And, yeah, the podium would've been for "Antichrist Superstar," and the anti-flag would've been "unfurled" for "Irresponsible Hate Anthem." Then it would've "hung around" for "The Reflecting God" and "1996" (if it was played), only having been removed for the last song, "Man That You Fear."

The May 2nd, Hamilton Ontario show (http://www.mansonusa.com/council/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37737&perpage=15&pagenumber=1#post881911) is hands down the best video bootleg of a show I've ever seen from that time period (not to mention the best show, period), and is very likely almost exactly the same as the show you missed in Edmunton, so you might wanna click that violet text earlier in this sentence and check it out.

I recently saw NIN (with Twiggy Osbourne White on bass) in Columbus, Ohio, and I made a special trip to the Columbus Science Institute for their "Science in 'Star Wars'" exhibit, primarily for my own interest in all things SW-related, but also hoping to catch Twiggs there. No dice. :(

And, yeah, your mom kicks ass. Give her a peck on the cheek for me and tell her why, okay?

:)

I know, that was the first page I found when I searched for the review. >__< Thanks, that would be greatly appreciated, Haz. ^^ PM me if you find it, kay?

Ooh, thank you also for the link to the Hamilton show! I only manged to see AWTSW so far, because I kept getting interupted during dowloads by various events. ^^; Heh, I've never actually seen a live clip for Man That You Fear, so I'm quite excited now.

Aw, damn. I wonder if he ever did see that exibit though... Okay, now I want to travel out there and see it! XD It sounds interesting.

Lol, I have numerous times actually. Xp She has also defended against other family members when they've brought up my little "Manson obsession". Her Dad didn't let her listen to KISS, Alice Cooper, ACDC, etc when she was growing up. Went as far as telling her and my aunties that the members of KISS were demons in human form. She was like what, 7 or 8 at the time, so she believed him. :0 Basicly, I think thats why she puts up with me and my tastes. Shes listened to a couple tracks with me though before (she really likes Negative 3) and she says when I go into a record or video store, as long as she knows what I'm getting, its all good.

If not, at least Danzig. It would be cool to see a band Manson opened up for years ago being on his tour as a support band. :)

I've seen The Birthday Massacre . . . they're ok.
Nothing that special.
Wednesday 13 isn't that special either.
It would've been cool to see The Murderdolls tour with Manson, but of course that didn't happen.

Hanzel und Gretyl all the way!!! One of my favorite bands. I didn't realize that many knew them.

Let manson pic some horrible opener before HuG. Either way, he has awful opening bands 75% of the time.

Of course people know about HuG. I liked Ausgeflippt but not Transmissions From Uranus. I think they have later material but I haven't heard it.

I can't remember if I heard HuG or Bile first. When I heard one, I discovered the other since their then record label (Energy) was tiny.

Let manson pic some horrible opener before HuG. Either way, he has awful opening bands 75% of the time.
And why not? It lowers expectations for his show so he looks even better.

Realistically, NIN would not open for Manson. And as for Dope, it would be nice, but I highly doubt it. I would like to see Psyclon Nine or Zeromancer. I've been dying to see Psyclon Nine and everytime they come to Illinois it's 18+. Plus, they're just a really good band. Hanzel Und Gretyl wouldn't be too bad either.
