K, I'm new to this so I'm still a little lost. Anyway, I have a .torrent downloading of NIN's full discography....but the download is taking forever and I don't want a lot of whats in it anyway. I don't know if this is the usual or what but I can go through the files and look at whats actually there, so if I deleted the files I don't want from it, would it make my download faster?, or just fuck-up the download then I'd have to start over?

Depends on what Torrent program your using. The one i use, BiT Torrnado, you can look at a list of what the torrent includes, and chose not to download want you don't want.

I'm using BitTorrent. Theres no option like that in it (not that I know of) for anything like that. but like when you start downloading a torrent saves all the files wherever but you just can't open them (obviously) until it's done....And I don't want half of what's in it and really don't want to waste the time downloading the shit I don't want. (I started it this morning and its still jumping between 200 and 150 hours left....) So what I need to find out is if it would fuck up the download if I deleted them manually....

Use azureus instead. Download that, associate the .torrent file for the NIN you're downloading, make sure azureus is downloading to the same directory as before, then it should resume from where you left off.
Then just double click the torrent in azureus, select "files" and change any files you want to "do not download".

I'd actually recommend utorrent over Azureus...I switched to it from Azureus...you can force downloads rather well.

I just uploaded NIN's entire discography (twice!) in this thread (http://www.mansonusa.com/council/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37056). The MegaUpload ones should still be working. But the answer is, yes, you have to use a different bit torrent client because the one you are using doesn't allow choosing specific downloads.
EDIT: BitLord FTW.
