View Full Version : Is this happening to anyone else?

On the first page, no usernames appear under "Users Online" even though there are a lot of users online, as listed after entering the forums themselves. The "Recent Discussions" part is blank, as well.
I first thought the database was screwed up or something, and no one could log in, but obviously, I was wrong about that. Could someone please explain to me what's happening?

Hm.
We get a lot of glitches here. I have no idea what that's all about. Surely it's temporary. Is it really imperative that you need to see it?

No names for me either...I was just about to start a new thread about it.
Actually, I was mildly disappointed when I found out I wasn't alone on the boards. For a second there I was thinkin' "10, 000 members and I've got the place all to myself!!!!"
Like that would be such great shakes on a message board.

Not sure if Alex was working on anything today, I haven't changed anything *shrug*. I'll play with it if it doesn't clear up...

Fixed.. wasn't anything serious. Also changed one or two other things while I was at it, but chances are no one will notice. =)

It still happens to me. But I doesnt bother me. It just happened agian like 2 mintues ago.

I just logged on today and its not showing me members online or the latest threads. It was ok when I was online the saturday just gone.

I've been getting it for a week now - it was bothersome at first but I'm not bothered. However I can see that it is irritating and could leave idiots with the impression that no one is online.

It's been happening to me too but my computer is such a fossil that I thought it was something random on my end. I agree with SmellsLikeOmega on that it's kind of cool to be surprised to see who's online...well, or who isn't invisible.

I do not care much for the users online, but the Recent Discussions panel was always enjoyable.

I noticed this problem seems to have finally been fixed. I havent been able to see any recent discussions or users online on the front page for pretty much the whole summer...but I logged on today, and what do you know? Fixed.
