It's called "Sex and Rockets, The Occult World of Jack Parsons" and its by John Carter w/ intro by Robert Anton Wilson... I knew about it from a couple of years ago from going to Babalon.net which I found a link to at Antichrist.com... anyway Manson recommends it in that article/ interview him and David Duchovney did about that game area 51 ... There a few parrallells with Mansons work like if I remember correctly while making Holy Wood he said the band was in the desert trying to invoke Babalon and mercury had a role in Parsons death. Anyway its a cool book and if anyone else read it or knows about Parsons and his involvment with Crowley and L.Ron Hubbard and how it might pertain to Manson post it in here.

I actually just finished reading it. I've seen a few parallels with Holy Wood that I haven't gotten around to writing up yet.

I just got to the part about the "nativity scene" and that is surely related to the band members in the background of the nobodies video.

I saw the Illuminatus Trilogy in hardcover at this occult store Enchantments in the village in NYC today but I didnt have enough money for it... Its written by Robert Anton Wilson... I think he talks about Eris the Goddess of Chaos in it, I have to get it.
I think Im the incarnation of Babalon actually.

The Illuminatus! trilogy is an excellent book. Robert Anton Wilson is one of my favorite authors. I've just read Sex and Rockets after reading about it on amazon while searching for R.A.W. material. I enjoyed the book, but I wish it was a little more informative on the occult side of his life. I guess it doesn't have to be though because of the fact that some view Parsons as "Crowley's successor" which sums up exactly how deep his level of involvement was. It does, however, offer a nice history of the O.T.O. and, although brief, a history of Crowley along with bibliography for those who aren't familiar with his work. I have suggested this book to many of my friends and would suggest it to anyone interested in the history of weapons and of the occult.

I did a search for this title here because I wanted to see if anyone else had read it. It's cool that not only has someone else read it, but Manson even quoted it in an interview and not only has just anyone here read it, but Eris23 read it and posted about it, whose posts I uphold as very intelligent.

Also, I do agree that Manson recognized these "coincidences" and used them (wisely) during the HolyWood era.
