Track 99 - Uncovered!

First of all, let me just say that this is not a topic discussing what is being said in the track by the mysterious voice. This is a topic discussing hidden things in songs that require you to reverse, slow down or speed up a song.

On with the topic!

I know I posted this in another topic but I think its worth posting in its own topic.

A few years ago, I was messing around with my windows sound recorder and I put Track 99 in it. I reversed it... Nothing cool... I lowered the speed... Nothing... Then I sped it up to double the speed of the normal song and then double again and guess what... There is hidden pieces of audio in it!

The pieces I'm reffering to are more than likely cut takes from the song Mister Superstar. You can clearly hear manson saying "Superstaaaaaar".

So, take a song... Put it through your sound recorder and see what you can find! I'm sure you'll find something!

Actually, I have used some audio editing software to help solve what the "man" is actually saying in Track 99. Below are my findings.

I also took out (filtered) the other sounds on the track so that the only sound playing was the man talking. I believe that the "late professor" remark was reffering to Anton Levey who had recently died. As far as anything else goes, I don't really have any idea of what he was talking about.

I'm Not saying they wernt but I also don't recall ever seeing the lryics for track 99 at www.marilynmanson.com And I really don't think he would put them up either.

I always thought and still do that the most accurate lryics I've found for track 99 are as follows :

I printed out these lryics a few years ago and cut off the web address so I don't know and can't remember what site I got them from.The guy said he used all means (computer sound lab) to get the truth from this track.When reading them along with the song the above lryics really do sound the most accurate to me.

Or: "I've looked ahead and saw a world that's dead. I guess that I am, too."

Is actually "I looked ahead and everything was dead. I guess that I am, too."

I listened to a couple live versions and some were hard to tell waht he was saying.

If I happen to come across it I'll post a more specific citation, but there actually IS an interview where Manson says something to the effect of "Well, I DID write a song with the line 'I've got a face that's made for violence or porn.' Which is obviously in contrast to the lyrics he'd placed in the HW booklet.

Clearly he'd intended the lyric to be taken both ways.

Yeah, he changes lryics sometimes when hes singing them live
but whats in the booklet are the lryics that really go to that song. Lately He's been putting "Lily's" inplace of rose's in GBWW
where he says and the roses tear are hands all open.
It's just him missing around with the lryics for fun.
In this case with GBWW I think its because hes with Dita
now and not rose so he put his cats name in place of it which is also a type of flower.

I don`t know if those are the correct words of the track but I just like to say that Anton LaVey died on october of 1997, that is one year after ACSS was released.

If the track does say that then he must be refering to himself.
