I think the most critical part of this song is the live imagery.
On Dead to the World tour, he performed the song on stilts.
As to symbolize a ressurection, to ascend from the grave and
to rise to power as the Anti - Christ Superstar. Hence we have
Disintegrator Rising. A born to die messiah in a world that only
wants to destroy him, or witness him destroy himself. The three
fold theory manifests here. The 3 moons , eclipsing the sun,
and bringing back brimstone on the false prophets and corrupt
world that we have became.
The theme is also used in Great Big White World, where the
baby is hung on a cross with other graves and gun postured
crucifixes as tombstones. This is a very pivotal song in the tryptich. this can be read as a second chapter to my previous
post, " Great Big White Gunn".
The entire 3 peice is littred with traces of this song. Abortion
Cribs, Survived Abortions, Some Children Died The Other Day.......... You get the point.
This all surronds Americas obsession with dead children. It is
a sick notion, but true nonetheless. We love to see kids die,
and then assemble a scapegoat to offer up to God to atone
for out own incastiable lust for violence.
Marilyn Manson was not the anti-christ, he was pointing
that character out. He was proving that it exists in all of
us. The apocalypse will reside in our children. The parents
that have buried and smothered us aren't going to abandon
us for utopia, because we will come back to life and burn it
down. It is all about finding your own will power and forming
you rown individuality.
To sum it up;
The camoflauge that we are smothered with, will only become our war paint.
