Q: Is this the official Marilyn Manson site?
A: Though we're flattered that some may consider our site to be official, The Heirophant is strictly a fan effort. The official site can be found at marilynmanson.com.
Q: Can I join The Heirophant staff?
A: When additional help is needed, a notification will be posted in our site news section. We select staff very intensively in that the applicant be advanced in the aspect of development that we require. Individuals wishing to join our site development team must be motivated.
Q: What's with your site name? You spelled Hierophant wrong.
A: We are aware of the spelling discrepency regarding our site name. The origin of our site name comes from the Antichrist Superstar album artwork. If you look on the back (featuring the track listing) "CYCLE I : THE HEIROPHANT" is printed above the first four tracks. Although the correct spelling is indeed "Hierophant", we decided to use the incorrect spelling for nostalgic purposes.
Q: How long has The Heirophant been online?
A: Development and conception for The Heirophant began in October of 2000. Our first version was released on February 14th, 2001. For a detailed account of the history of The Heirophant, refer to our site history section.
Q: What does your site symbol mean?
A: The symbol represents two separate entities distinguishable by observing the symbol at different perspectives. We choose not to elaborate any more than that. The rest is up to your own interpretation.
Q: Can you give me Marilyn Manson's [e-mail address, phone number, etc.]?
A: Probably the most frequently asked question. It makes no difference whether you're a manager of some radio station or some slutty groupie; the answer will always be no.
Q: Do you want to be affiliates with my site?
A: We are no longer accepting affiliation requests. However, you may submit your URL for inclusion in our links section.
Q: Can I use your images?
A: You may use our media images provided that you credit us via link to our site. You may not, however, use any images within the template portion of the site (main layout). Images that are watermarked were scanned by Heirophant staff. If you intend to use watermarked images with our logo, you must leave it intact.
Q: What did you use to code The Heirophant?
A: The Heirophant was coded in its entirety in notepad by the webmaster in Notepad. That means it was made by hand, essentially.
Q: What did you use to make your graphics?
A: Adobe Illustrator 8.0, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Adobe Image Ready 7.0
Q: Why don't you have any MP3 downloads?
A: Quite simply put: copying and distributing MP3s of copyrighted material is illegal. Try buying an album every so often.
Q: Why is your site design/imagery so heavily based on the Antichrist Superstar album?
A: For most of us, it's our favorite album Manson has put out. That isn't to say that the band's other works pale by comparison. The thought put into the lyrics, philosophy and aesthetics is amazing. Antichrist Superstar is epic in every sense of the word.

A: No, we don't have the time or patience.
